Hey Stogey, there is going to be an after party BBQ at the Motel 6 run by our own Eeric. Most of the others have already joined up, there are at least 16 XFire owners staying there Saturday night.

I met with Eric at M-6 this afternoon. Everything is looking really good!

This is a very unique hotel and the first one of it's kind. The hotel is going for LEED certification which means it's very energy efficient and built with renewable and recyclable resources...bamboo flooring, solar panels, LED lighting, etc. The rooms are very cool with HDTV's in every room. Rooms with double beds include mini refrigs.

Would one of you be willing to gel all this scattered info into an agenda document? It would be helpful for us all to know when and where various events will be as well as the most important event - the speedway.

Posting a PDF or Word doc would be best.

Thanks,
Steve

Good idea Steve. I'll put together an attachment to the thread. Meantime, here's a quick summary for Saturday:

Cars and Coffee at Classic BMW in Plano: 8:00am - noon

Guided tour of TMS: 1:00 - 2:00

All group meet at Motel 6 to caravan to Babes: 2:30

Lunch at Babes Chicken: 3:00 pm

TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY: 5:30 pm (don't be late!)

After TMS poolside party & BBQ at Motel 6: the time is completely open to whenever the group decides after the run...some will want to do several runs.

Welcome! I have added you to the list. There is no need to call the number on the poster. Our reservation has been made. You can join us for lunch at Babes (meet at the Motel 6 at 2:30) or catch up to us at the speedway at 5:30.

10 days to go...

So far 16 crossfires on Friday, 26 Crossfires on Saturday staying at the Motel 6.

Update on the BBQ;

We are having late lunch (3:00 PM) at Babe's; The party is still on at the pool, we decided against bying food or drinks before. Wal-mart is less than a mile away and we can purchase all food & beverages as needed. I have an appartment on premises, so if anyone likes to cook (need to bring your own pots - the appartment is not used) or needs to use the refrigerator - you are very, very welcome.

We'll provide the tables, chairs, grill, utensils, plate, napkins...

Again.... the party for Saturday is still on. We still need entertainmant for Friday evening.

Friday is going to be the first day the Motel is open... I will be running around crazy... so please forgive me if I will not be able to join you all for a grand time... defiantly be joining Saturday for Babe's and Speedway

See you all very soon

Think happy thoughts! How many times are the weathermen correct - especially 10 days out? We had similar predictions for the spring run and ended up with a perfect day for it.

Please count me in! I will be coming up on Friday and hopefully there is room for me and my Crossfire at Motel 6. I dont know what time I will be driving up Friday but it might be after work sometime.
I will be going back home after the Speedway so I wont be attending the afterparty on Saturday.
I cant wait to see all of the Crossfires together!
See you there!

Paige Martin
