At the Laps For Charity event, TMS does organized club runs from 5-7pm. Then they open it up to the public and TMS groups cars in the order they come in...a maximum of 16 cars per run. It goes from 7pm to whenever the cars stop coming. When we were leaving the event last May and driving through the tunnel on the south end of the speedway, I was amazed at the line of cars waiting to get in. Some pretty cool cars too.

I think it would be good if all those at the same hotel hang out by the pool after the earlier festivities and give every one a chance to talk cars and clubs and GTGs cause when your at the TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY is not the time . . . . (NFS) time . . . . what are the rules of the pool area? closeing time and such?

This morning we held our DFWxfires GTG and one of our topics was the entertainment part for Saturday evening. We decided on following recommendation:
After the Track Meet around 7:30 PM we will meet at the Motel and have BBQ around the pool. Remember it is a motel with other “non-crossfire” guests; I won’t be able to allow loud music L.
If the interest is there, please let us know who’s attending since we have to organize this better. I need help with a grill (or two) and probably folding chairs. It’s okay to bring all a few days earlier. Danny & Char, both offered to bring their grill (Thanks guys J). Also no glasses by the pool area – cans are fine! We still have to work on details on how to handle food & beverage (a Wall-mart is close by). There is an ice machine in the motel, so no worries about ice… and don’t forget your bathing suits J
We still can work on other activities for later in the evening, but it’s a good start.
Any input is appreciated J
Only 40 days to go… WHOOOOO HOOOOO

A BBQ back at the motel sounds excellent.
We had a BBQ at the Dragon meet and the folks had the best time ever.
We all enjoyed our time together

Since we're doing a late lunch at Babes, I suggest not going too heavy on the BBQ. Maybe something like some jalapeno poppers, hot dogs, etc.
PS...Hey Eeric, you're going to be in deep doo-doo if Motel 6 isn't open by then. Let me know if I need to come by and "help" the contractor along. I KNOW how construction schedules go.

We will know the party is over when the cops come.
