Join our first Crossfires Across America Rally - St.Louis, Mo. June 22, 23 & 24 -2010
re: Join our first Crossfires Across America Rally - St.Louis, Mo. June 22, 23 & 24 -2010
Started 'prepping' our 2007 Limited Coupe today for CAA trek & outing. Treating the exterior surface for the next 4-5 days. We keep having late afternoon/early evening thunderstorms every day and it's difficult to find any time to get car completely waxed. I find it's just easier to do small sections of the car each day until I get the entire car finished.
Using Prep-Sol to take off the old wax layer. Then running the clay bar over the surface to get any surface contamination. Final step is apply a good coat of premium cleaner-wax on the surface. If I was back into show car care, I'd apply the 3-layer protection (fine cut cleaner, polish, carnuba wax). Just don't have the time anymore or have other priorities that keep coming up.
Anyway, the car should be looking good by the time we head out for St. Louis on Father's Day. See folks there.

Ok guys, back on track. Just wanted to let you all know, the hotel was serious when they said they would work with those who missed the deadlines. Deb Walker reported she now has a room. List updated.
Now I need those of you who have a hotel but yet to sign up for anything to please get going with that.
Those of you who have everything in place or at least most of it, get those whips cracking...go ahead, look at the list on the front page and start nudging, prodding, poking, etc.!

1. On a case by case basis and dependent on room availability, my point of contact will work with members of the group directly to get you rooms at the rate we advertised. This is really good news as they easily sell out or at least have a 98% occupancy rate every night.... To take advantage of their willingness to work with us, UPDATE:
Call one or the other and they can assist you.
Michele M. 314-770-7652 or
Larry M. 314-770-8131
2. For the breakfast only, they are allowing me to add names to the list up until the week prior to our meet. However, this will mean you will need to pay us prior to me adding the name. I have to work with the banquet center for the dinner (not necessarily easy).
The hotel, while a big business, is being very accommodating, so let's take advantage of their graciousness even if it is a case by case basis.
I must stress, our next deadline for other activities is this Friday (4 June) for counts and money. Please don't delay as the other vendors are more than likely not going to work with us like Harrah's.

Looking forward to seeing folks in St. Louis in a couple of weeks. Imagine that - it's only 2 weeks until we arrive in St. Louis!

Correct...
Ballots will be filled out by all who are voting using your VIN # and then at the end of voting they will be counted.
First, second and third place is determined by:
1rst place - Highest number of votes
2nd place - Second highest number of votes
3rd place - Third highest number of votes

As I posted in a reply to an inquiry sometime back in mid April, we have been planning on having t-shirts. We will have ours for sale and messages have been sent to attendees in mid May for those who had committed activities asking what size shirts they would be interested in were they to buy them.
These t-shirts will have the official CAA logo (below) which has been copyrighted to the GCG.
As we (GCG) have incurred a lot of expenses based upon the initial interest to the meet, we have only gone with t-shirts at this time. We will also have oval stickers with this logo.

Do you have the shirts and stickers now, or are we going to buy them at the event?
