Not to hijack the train of thought going on here, I do have a related question of sorts. For those of us with more than one XFire in the immediate family - are you going to bring both, or have to choose between the two or more that you have, to bring to the rally? I'm torn between time with my wife in the XFire (either hers or mine, don't care which-yeah, right ) or bring both for the sake of the rally numbers for any possible Rally II, etc. ?

 

Sounds like you have made your own dilema. I have two crossies and a wife. All will be at the CAA.

We just had a meeting tonight to go over CAA activities and it looks like they will be here though the days are not yet fully identified. Franc is still working out the details with them.

I am trying to get them to also be here on Monday the 21st as some folks want to get it done before thedaily activities start.

I need to know who wants a tune so I can get Gregg some commitments.

A reminder for all, we are getting closer and closer and while it would seem 77 or so days (click below to see how far out) is a long way off, please understand that in the middle of May I will have to start giving rooms back...we've already lost a couple due to cancellations as a result of other commitments by attendees.

Hey I was just wondering if there is going to be any type of event T shirts or decals ect,to commemorate the Crossfires across America event.

 

Yes, I already have the stickers and shirts will be getting accomplished a little bit closer to the actual date. Please appreciate our need to hold off on going all out with shirts of any type at this point because at the current rate of hotel registrations and/or event sign up's we are not wanting to extend our personal costs too far.

I know some are just coming out of hibernation and getting ready for earlier meets/drives, but we are quickly approaching the hotel deadline where I'll have to be turning in rooms. Right now there 34 rooms reserved with four cancellations and I now only have 56 rooms set aside for us. The longer people wait, the more likely I won't be able to add any rooms.

I know that everybody has been busy with lives (kids, drives, work, etc.) but I have been approached by the hotel asking if I would release rooms for Sunday 20 June; this is two days prior to the actual start of events. As we have only had 4 rooms reserved out of the 90 set aside for that night, I am going to comply with the request no later than next Monday (26 April) to maintain a good relationship with the hotel. So please plan accordingly.

This will leave us with the following breakdown. (keep in mind some of these rooms used are actually lost rooms due to cancellations)

I suspect this is just the first night in their sights and they will be asking for more before long because of the small number of reservations thus far.

My final release date is May 14 which is less than a month away. Also, due to other activities near the hotel, rooms have increased to $190 for Wednesday (23 Jun) and $100 for other nights if not reserved through our group (S618C). If we need more prior to May 14, I might be able to add them, but only on a space available basis.

So I encourage those seriously planning on attending to please make their reservations as soon as possible. I also suggest those who have made reservations, encourage their friends on the list to begin making reservations and signing up for activities.

It would also be very beneficial to have activity reservation forms coming in so we know if we need to add or cancel activities. If everyone waits until the deadline of June 1, it could be hard to add more names and people may miss out on activities.

Lastly, if you want your name removed from the list of those attending because you have found you can no longer attend, please send a PM to me (Erzer) as this will help us to make any necessary changes.

Well everyone, sad news. I know I haven't been a large participant here on this thread for a while, but still kept up with it. And was planning on attending. However, I got called up to go back into the military to head to Iraq with some National Guard guys out of Utah. So I'll be gone when this event is happening. =\ Everyone have tons of fun, and maybe next year?

I just spoke with Gregg from Eurocharged. We have set the details.

Tunes will be on Monday June 21 at my shop in Wentzville MO. We will also have tunes available on Tuesday, June 22 in the morning if enough people sign up.

Eurocharged will be posting their scedule, prices and details. You may sign up with them or PM me.

With Drag racing on Tuesday and a Racecourse event on Wednesday I'm sure some of you would like to have the resources of Eurocharged at your conveinence. You will also have access to my company machine shop, if so required.

We have a CNC mill and lathe available along with Mig weldiing and the ususal saws, grinders, and other implements of destruction at you disposal.

I do have a set of Crossfire specific tools as well.

Please be careful in my shop because if you get hurt or killed, we have only a limited number of grave spots available behind the warehouse.
