We would love to go back to Southern Cal. There is a great little spot on the out skirts of San Diego county in the hills, called Lake Henshaw.

Road trip! I've been within 1 block of your house before in '08. Wasn't on the forum much then though.

All that said, let's not get a head of ourselves, we still have to enjoy this one. One thing we are considering doing is putting the next CAA up for a vote at this first one.

With what seems like a majority of members "over there" tThat just means it'll be somewhere "over there" again.

Come West young man, come West!

Not always true, we live in Oklahoma. So either coast is accessable for us. Between two different vacations we've driven all 2100+ miles of I-40. We would love to do SD again, or some other area like Colorado or Wyoming.

Just my $.02.

DJ, Carlisle would be a great thing, since it involves the XF directly, and it is east. I will be checking it out this year as well...so, we will, or should say would like to meet up with everyone on the left coast as well...so, don't rule it out....you have a lot Texas neighbors that will vote...I wouldn't rule out your home state...a lot to see out there...personally, I would lean and vote for Texas gtg....

Good comments...from all regarding the next location

We owners need to recognize the need to go to various places rather than our own backyards. But again, let's enjoy the first and see what comes about with the second.

Which by the way we are into Mar come tomorrow, so hopefully we get more sign up activity as we will have to be providing down payments for a few of the locations fairly soon and there has been very little activity in this area. Not to mention for an estimated 122 attendees, the hotel rooms are not going very fast (i know a number of people don't have a nice enough boss to decide this early on vacations)

I know I haven't signed up for the events yet, because I am waiting for some of the Ohio Valley/Indiana groups to be able to make their decisions. I'm going to try to at least convoy down with some of them, although I may have to come early to get the tune up on Monday. About March/April we'll be rolling the cars out of hibernation, and then I think we'll start doing some planning

In the mean time, the St. Louis people (and Erzer) should all be congratulated for the time and effort being expended on this first of it's kind (for us) GTG.

After all, you who are putting this together started a lot earlier...so, I do think it is relevent if there is to be another. Texas, you listening...

That goes without saying, Dennis. We will thank them in person in June. I am just hoping someone will keep these type of get togethers going, and if so, they need to be thinking about it now. If not, then we are back to the old gtg as usual.....I like the fact that DJ brought it up...but it will take more than one person to put it together, just like the St. Louis group is doing...just something for the left coasters to think about. In the meantime, Carlysle will be the right coast thing for me right now...

That brings up a very good point. I think now is the time for the regional volunteers or groups or gaggles to start forming group plans for coming into STL. Below are the listed persons, outside of here, who need to be contacted from the respective regions.

All Midwest area folks attending can contact me, Doc and FP

Doc can assist with the Indiana area departures.
FP and I will organize the Chi-town departures

My plan is to leave Chi-town (Aurora, IL) on Monday Morning and take I-55 south directly to St.Louis.
If anyone wants to stay at my place Sunday night let me know and I will try to accommodate each of you.

Driving Directions from Aurora, Illinois to Saint Louis, Missouri
4 hours 38 minutes / 270.26 miles

Returning on Friday

I have Tuesday thru Thursday reserved, but am thinking of heading out on Monday. Like Gary said, if someone passing thru from the east needs a stop over, we are just north of Indy...30 minutes from I-70...I am open as to when to head out or to meet up. We have a lot scattered throughout Indiana, but we are in the middle of the state, so anything goes. There's still plenty of time to organize...but I would think by mid-May we should finalize what we would like to do...or not do...

Ya'll might want to consider a day sooner in your schedules. I am going to try and get Eurocharged to behere Monday as well so we can get some tunes done before the gig starts on Tuesday.

We already have five commitments for tunes on Monday, assuming I can get Gregg, Tony and the boys in town for it.

As for me, I don't mind staring at the Eroucharged girls but Tuesday, I'm all set for the winery.

Franc;

You can put me on that list for tuning. I can come down Sunday or Monday to have it done before the festivities. If I have to spend Sunday night in the casino and Monday watching the Eurocharged girls with you, so be it! I'll just suffer through. Let me know if they need a deposit to get the equipment down to St Louis.

DC' XFire and I (smfrycruzr) are planning to drive up from Yukon (just west of OKC) on Monday. We'll just take I-44 straight there, about 8 1/2 hours. We would like to join up with anyone from the southern and or western states that might be coming through that day.

Then we head back home on Friday, could do a run back home with any others then also.
