Since I live in Asheville, I am of course game for the Biltmore Estates.
I'll do some checking and see if I can save us any money on tickets or dining. Best I'm seeing at the moment is $10 off if you buy them ahead of time online. Also, They do offer group rates:
Group Sales at 800-211-9805 or groupsales@biltmore.com. If we can get a head count, I'd be happy to negotiate a group discount.

OK I have revised the itinerary in post #4 at the beginning of this thread.
I will be making and maintaining a list in post #4 of those who choose to tour The Biltmore Estate on Sunday afternoon.

Our route of course will begin at Fontana Lodge and travel to Asheville, NC (see map here)
Jane Bridges will be leading a group of folks interested in stopping and touring The Biltmore Estate...Cost $59.00

People who wish to tour the estate can do so and others who only want to stop and enjoy lunch
and then continue on a afternoon Crossfire adventure run through the Mountains can follow a few of us who choose to drive on after lunch and not tour The Biltmore Estate.
The route for those of us doing an afternoon adventure run from Asheville is being plotted by Jeff Cobb who also lives in Asheville.
I have been in contact with him today.
I for one will be making the afternoon run for those who would like to join me.

 

sounds like fun...I will let you know...everytime I go down, I miss seeing friends in Knoxville, so this trip...I am going up to Knoxville for part of the day...don't know which day yet...but I am going down Thurs thru Mon this trip...but will only be at Fontana Fri, Sat, Sun...

Just wanted to say we had a great time this past spring and will try to attend the fall TOD. Two neighbors have asked to come, one has a Miata (red convertible) the other a Corvette. It would be a couple and a single guy. I didn't give them an answer since we don't even know if we are attending.
I'm just happy if we can get away!



The real personalized plate I got for Gary's birthday. James again you have a sharp eye. It arrived on Saturday just after Gary waxed the car. The sun was out a beautiful day; it was a perfect time to give him an early present

1st time poster here on the forum > I purchased a 05 SRT6 Roadster aero blue about a month ago and my wife and myself really enjoy going to the Smokies every weekend when the weather permits (as we live in the Tricities area) and we plan on going down this fall and maybe meeting some of the other xfire nuts ,,we where down during the spring trip and passed about 10 or 15 xfires while on the mountian ,a great weekend for touring ,,,,any way just wanted to say hello and maybe we will get to meet you this fall
