Made it back to Bama safely around 9:15 pm...........Had a great time meeting new friends and matching people with their forum names! Had the chance to really experience the cars performance with The Dragon run. Thanks to Gary et al...........for all his hard work in planning and executing this event. We got an early start this morning and arrived home around 9:30AM. This was a new experience for us since we just got our Xfire this past August. We really didn't know what to expect but Fontana Village is so close to us we hated to miss it. We truly enjoyed the weekend. We met lots of nice people and it was so neat seeing so many of these wonderful cars in one parking lot.
Gary, your hard work was appreciated!
Jane, thanks for all of that delicious candy!

made it home a little after 6:30 after making a stop off at Bass Pro Shops in Sevierville. had a blast even with the rain and my fiance did too seeing as it was her first time on the dragon. We put all of the photos we took over the weekend on a cd to send to Sam at Eurotuner, some of them turned out really great. I'll keep everyone posted on whats going on with that. Who knows, maybe next year they'll send someone to cover one of the get togethers and it will be a feature event in the magazine. now I can start trying to get some issues straightened out with the car so its ready to do it again next year. Thanks to Gary and everyone else who worked to make the meet happen.

Made it home safely.

Many thanks to Gary and the gang (including you, Danimal) for all that you did this weekend. I sure had a great time and it was so good to meet so many new people. Many thanks to everyone who showed up for Crafts with Jane and helped to assemble the Halloween treats.

To all of my caravan buddies, many thanks for making the trip go fast (in more ways than one.)

Franc, many thanks for dancing the Tango with me on the Dragon. You did a great job.

Jane

Well, I got home about an hour ago - safe and sound. Only one issue on the way back, and it'll cost me $124. I'll let you guys figure out for what.

Thanks to all for another great Crossfire event. It really is the great people that make these events so successful. (A great car doesn't hurt either )

James, thanks! That was a great run - very little interference from slow-pokes and we really got to tear it up. Don't tell John, but I couldn't shake him from my tail the whole time. Dammit! LOL

See everyone at the next event!

Tom, sorry for your bad luck...they just have your number...thanks to all who cooked, cleaned, and put on this event...it was grt as usual...to my old friends, grt seeing you all again, to my newly made friends, please contact me and don't be a stranger, it was grt meeting you all, but as usual as well, I missed meeting some of you and for that I am sorry...but some will tell that is a good thing...but this year I behaved myself for the most part...but John and I did play just a little on the way out, and a 370Z learned not to pass me on the right on the way home...I think he is still running...anyway...grt time, will be back in the fall to play some more, and meet those I failed to meet...and the best part, no one got hurt, no one broke down...happy trails....

Well I got home safely a few hours ago. Had a blast and look forward to the next one. Those curves are AWESOME!!!

To all those I got to meet for the first time as well as those I've met from previous get togethers, it was, as always, a pleasure. We've got a fine group and it seems to keep growing stonger. Met a couple that live in St. Louis at the Deals Gap station. We were gonna fill up with some "Super Dragon Unleaded", kind like a souvenir but for your car. LOL anyways, they asked about our fixed wings saying theirs went up and down. I asked if they were there for the Crossfire gtg because I didn't remember seeing them at any time during the weekend and they said they didn't even know about it and they were there on their bikes. I gave them a card and look forward to seeing them online or at the next event.

Glad everyone made it home alright and look forward to the next gtg.

Take care!

Hey All,

I wanted to post and say that Rudy (rcompart) and I made it back to Wisconsin last night at about ten. I haven't heard from him since he pulled out of the driveway this morning but I am assuming that he made it back to MN.

Absolute fantastic drive back home; Rob (NeedsWings), Lon, Rudy and I tore the Dragon up after hitting warp speed on Hell Bender (Doc ~ your legend still lives on but we were right there with the numbers you told me on Saturday). And Franc I didn't let the three SRTs intimidate me; I stayed with them all the way (although a bit farther behind on the straights) .

That was just the beginning, I won't say anything about the speeds but Rudy and I made more than a twelve hour trip in about ten . Ask Rudy about the local Washington county sheriff department here in Wisconsin ~ He He; I told that boy to watch out for the local LEOs here! No ticket; just a stern warning...

It was a lot of driving in less than 72 hours but well worth the trip; I had a great time. It was great to see all my old friends and meet some new ones. I'll be back next year to slay the Dragon again!!!

Stay safe and fly low...

Respectfully,

Paul (MisterTaz)

Evan, Dwight and I made it to St Louis about 4:00 this afternoon. Made excellent time trying to keep up with Jane Bridges.

Desire for the Crossfire (Dwight) figured he could make Branson by 9 or 10 and Evan (Itsky) wanted to go home sooner so we said our good byes and split up. I pray they make it home safely.

Had the best damm Dragon run ever coming out this morning. Had Jane behind me all the way. I got the jump on her out of deals Gap and put a good 1/4 mile between us at first, but by the end of the Tail she was on my @ss. Good run Jane. I'll do the dance with you anytime.

Again it was the most fun I ever had with my pants on.

I hope everyone, including Debbie and the heathen from Wisconsin (Kurts) made it back OK and without snow.

See you all next year.

BTW, a special thanks to RCompart who loaned me a fender well door so I didn't Hydrolock my engine on the way home.
I owe you pal.

No Problem James, glad you like it. It was great seeing the Lambo doors finished that you talked about doing at carlisle. You'll have to let me know if you want me to fab up a washer reservoir for you.

Itsky,

I believe that road has a local name but I can't remember it. To me it is the Dragon's evil twisted sister. Not so much cliffside but lots of tight curves and gorgeous scenery. Some rock cliffs that come right to the road, even overhang a bit. Close quarters and surprise lifts and twists.

I'm refering to it fom now on as the "twisted sister"

You are right. it was a great ride.

Made it home completely uneventful except for coming up on a SSB coupe on I-95 in VA, I recognize the plate, but not sure where from, but I didn't recognize the driver. AV8R-1 if you are on the forum, send me a pM.

We both had a great time! Tom and John; thanks for showing how to drive the he11 out of my car!
