Yes, they made it safely.

 

We had an awesome drive today that took us through the Dragon and on the Foothills parkway to Gatlinburg. We had a very nice lunch and a ride on the gondola up the side of the hills here. We then proceeded through Smokey Mountain National Park. We ran into the clouds around 4500'. That was an awesome ride with the tops down.

We stopped for ice cream in Cherokee and then proceeded back to the lodge. We had a vigorous drive back up highway 28 back to the lodge. What a fun drive with a great bunch of folks! Tomorrow will be a blast!

 

Thanks dude! I kinda' was getting concerned. Give them both my best, if you would?

this drinking alone Max without you....or at least watching you do a HID install just isn't right....get your butt better....won't hook up again until June...since I won't make it back hear in the spring...get better my friend, you guys are missed....oh, bout forgot, been picking on the vettes this wknd...a lot of fun.....lol

 

Sure wish we were there with you all, sadly I ended up with a bug and have been laying low nursing a two day headache along with other entertaining symptoms best kept to my self. Drive safely on your way(s) home.

 

We miss you Rapps! Despite the rain, we still had a great day. A few of us made it to Dillsboro and then headed down to Georgia and South Carolina (just to say that we were there in the XF). On the way back to the lodge we hit highway 28 which was an absolute blast. This road should be called the "mini-Dragon" from here on out.

We miss being there too. Spring Dragon and maybe Carlisle too...

 

Max you and Tina should come to Carlisle, we will be a two car family I believe. It is a really nice drive for us at least and you get to see/meet the CICCI crowd. I may be on a cruise though depends when you booked me for!

 

Made it home safe and sound....around 2pm today. Thanks to everyone for a great event and for all the help at the BBQ last night. 14 of us made the big loop (in spite of the rain) and had a great run except for following the (w)itch in the Prius down the Dragon. Can't wait to do it again in April.

 

Helllo All !l We made it home about 6 pm , sure was nice seeing everybody , You know it was all about coming to see the cars but somthing happen ,now it about coming and seeing old friends and there cars , Susan and I would like to say thanks to all ! SEE ALL NEXT SPRING

I'm sorry I didn't get to say goodbye, but saying goodbye is nothing I enjoy doing.

Another Great Time Had by all it was really great seeing all the old friends and meeting the all the new. I'am soooo glad I came what was I think ? and a shout out to Gary for another Job well done Msxfire

 

Can anyone update us on how Deb Walker is doing? We checked out and the three of us (Deb, Me and SilverSaph) ran the Dragon and then came back thru it - but Deb got really sick and ended up checking back in!!! What a wonderful place to spend some sick time. She said she'd spend the night and head home tomorrow.

It was just me and Silversaph on the way home together, as Stargazer and Olga headed to Asheville and were going home from there.

I got home in four hours, even with some heavy traffic around Atlanta.

 

Well, I made it back home! That was an awesome weekend, really glad that I joined this time. It was nice meeting everybody, I will be doing this again!

Great job planing the event and the BBQ Gary!

 

Deb Walker is fine; she slept all day. We just had dinner and she is telling cork soaking jokes.

Made it back with beautiful weather...at least sun and no rain. Had the top down for a fair amount of time from Nashville up through part of Il. Shark067 went with his down till about 60 miles out of STL when we pulled over to see what was up with the lights...

Had a great time, everybody be safe and have a good trip home.

Good to hear!!! She let me lead the three of us thru the Dragon (Silversaph, Me, and Deb) today. When I looked in the mirror and saw her falling back, I KNEW something was up - there is no way I could out run her.

I couldn't out run a Prius.

 

Just got back in 30 mins ago. Our convoy left around 9:45 to do a dragon run (which was great.. no Prius) then XfireBlake, Jediracer and I made the run back home. Had a fast lunch, everything went good, blake jumped in VA outside of Roanoke, then me and Jedi flew down 81 and we split up on the DC beltway. Im guessing he made it home safe, he made the first 580 miles safely. 0 issues other than being tired and sore back. Was a great time in teh lodge on Saturday night, and loved running the dragon. For those who didn't run it hard you dont know what you are missing. After the slow run with the "fruit loops" Jedi and myself went back up and did the dragon again, and boy were our brakes hot by the end. It was amazing.

 

finally home, it was great meeting/seeing everyone, i had a blast. we flew thru the dragon on the way out and now that im home and looked up the youtube videos im scared that we went that fast thru there. the car did fantastic and i never knew it couild corner that hard and hold. im now a believer in the dragon, it is an unreal road!
