Anyone from SC that is thinking of taking another route to the Dragon is more than welcomed to join us via Savannah Macon Atlanta route... which after Atlanta should be an absolutely beautiful route!!! Might have to stop for some photo ops!!!

 

I am riding with Allen Roberta us 3 so far.We may have some more not sure yet..how many you got Deb.....you Stargazer,PizzaGuy, n e more? Im Ready to take some pics!!

james, the foothills route is how I go home every year...so, going in is fine with me...and Max, I wish you best my friend....if I had known sooner, may have come your way a little early...always up for a road trip. You get better, now...you here...Danimal....I would, but I know for a fact...he would be there if he wasn't in pain...

HWY 72 is a very good way to go in. It is easy to miss the turn going east off 441 so look close.

Otherwise a very nice ride with little traffic interrupting the trip.

You can also go down I-75 to where it meets 72. You will miss the tour thru town. (I remember following Gary thru Knoxville once. I don't follow him anywhere since)

Words to remember!! Very important. I made the same mistake of following Gary before.

 

it happened to me twice....but I know he has been practicing his exits...so we shall see...I may not be able to meet you guys in Kentucky...I will let you know tomorrow...it may have to be in Lexington or further down...

 

OK OK so I missed a turn once in awhile.
Just remember the GPS is my only tool to get me there so if it fails me I in turn then fail you..lol
I don't have to be in the lead if someone else wants to take the risk of leading us into a wrong turn.

Anyway:

Looks like 60% rain on sat, 0% on Sunday and Monday with highs in the upper 60's both days.

Not too bad, and there is STILL time for them to revise it anyway.

This will give anyone with us who won't be doing the loop on Sunday a chance to see the beauty of this stretch of road.
We will all stop for a bite to eat and a gas top off in Marysville on the way down.
