I went threw Gary's list and there will be 9-red, 11-black, 14-ssb, 12-aero blue, 6-white, 3-yellow, 5-graphite, 1-grey, 1-silver, 1-oystergold, 3 cars not listed with color. I know my total numbers are not the same as Garys list but number 25 is a cobalt so I did not add that in my totals. I still messed up somewhere with one more car but anyways...... Just to give everyone an idea of the variety that is going to be there.

I have too much time on my hands...

Just looked at the Tail of the Dragon website and noticed that the 3rd Annual Crossfires on the dragon run is that weekend and there are 67 Crossfires onboard for it, so we are going to have some company that weekend. My wife loves those cars and I hear the SRT6 version is a sweet little ride. I believe they are built on the Mercedes SLK platform and I love those cars.

One of the other comments was that they had not seen more than 10 XFs no less 67. The follow up comment was "too expensive I believe that is the culprit that killed them. I believe they were over $40K. " Y eah, that's the reason.... over $40k!

hey I owned vettes for many years , having had 5 over the years...vette owners are respectful and appreciate a fine ride...I'm sure we will be checking out each others rides...I use to attend a huge meet every year in Effingham IL....with many many vettes...I think it got rain out this yr though...maybe we should invite them over Sat evening....

 

To anybody driving down from Florence KY -
I assume that you are taking I-75 south. If so, I would like to meet up with you around Lexington KY and drive down with the "convoy". We had a change of plans. My wife and I were going to drive down on Friday but now someone needs to stay close to home. Lucky me, I still get to go to the Dragon... Just let me know when you are leaving Florence and I'll be where I need to be.

I recieved another email from Eurotuner Magazine today, this one from the feature editor. he wanted to know the dates for next year's meet's so he could get them into the magazine. he also asked me to send him photos of this weekends meet.

 

Gary, I read on the Vette Forum about them leaving Cincinnati on Friday morning as well. Maybe we will run across them on the way down, or...

Unlike some, not all, of those porsche owners we experienced in the spring, I think we will have normal jocularity between the groups at most and I'm sure it will be enlightening for some of their owners. I look forward to any other car owner who has an open mind about other cars.
