See you there! Kevin.

Hey Gary, have you figured out how to line up 60 some odd Crossfires at the circle at the DAM so that it doesn't look like a LA freeway?

On the left, number 2 and 3 from the end, are those both red Roadsters?
What do I see? Could it be?

.....Wha.. wha... what? My car is not unique? I was thinking my car was the only red Roadster ANYWHERE!
(Sure was a pretty fall day, huh?)

Gary reservations made for Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights and if its works out with work I may try and stay Sunday but not sure yet. The lodge said I could add Sunday night at the same price if I decide to stay. This will be my 5th Dragon see you all there.

The Italian Traffic circle did not seem the best way to view all the cars. But it did seem the best way to get them all together "in that circle"
With more than 60 cars, we either have to invent a better way to press them togther, or find a different spot.
The biggest problem, in my opinion, was the inability for those who wanted to 'git' to find a path out of the mess. I agree with Danimal, it is the worst event of the gathering to endure, yet it wouldn't be the Dragon meet without it.
Ideas anyone?

yes, see if the lodge cares, weather permitting, if we can organize at the cookout in the grass by the inn..it seems to run a little up hill, might be able to stair step the cars in a tight group instead of spread out...just an idea...and another photo op...

To do it up right, we almost need everyone to surrender their keys and have a couple people artfully park the cars in a nice pattern. During the cookout would be ideal timing, as people are not driving or itching to go somewhere else.
That said, I'm pretty sure most people aren't gonna cough up their keys. It's a shame too, since some people can't even back into a parking spot straight.
Hmmm... what to do, what to do?

Now Scott,
See what ya started here...lol
Parking 60 Crossfires will be challenging.
The only other spot this can be accomplished is at the lower dam but it requires a permit to do so. I will make some calls and inquire for us.
We sort of snuck in while the gates where open last year on Sunday morning with the 21 Crossfires that hung around for the Sunday event.
Lower Dam area
This was a shot looking down from our current location (Upper Dam) above at the visitors center.

As I remember, a cop came thru and didn't say a word...nice guy...love that top view...we have enough now to do the X F in the grass....
