I have 2 sets of pics that need to be stiched together in the for of a panorama, VA will do that tonight (she has photoshop on her laptop), and I will either post them on the forum, or on my website, and then a link to them here.

i think the same also me and ashley got some great pics also so as soon as i get a day off ill get some posted. she also recorded the hole dragon but she didnt get that great of a vid because of her almost losing her lunch lol.

XFire owners never leave a fellow owner stranded on the road!

So, ITSKY, did you buy tires before or along the return trip to CO?

 

Like some of the others, one of the real pleasures I got from this event was the discovery of the capabilities of the 5-speed AutoStick tranny in these cars. I'd used it around town somewhat, but driving the XFire all along the Saturday run and finally thru The Dragon really opened my eyes to the thrill of driving this car while pushing its limits. Probably the best decision we've made on a car purchase.

Looking foward to the Fall event.

 

So I've got pics from the Spring event. Several have shots of license plates. I've noticed that quite a few owners blank out plates on pics posted to galleries. I'm normally not concerned about this, but if anyone is sensitive to this, let me know & I'll edit before posting.

 

Gary im so ready for the fall i cant wait just hopeing that im not going to be in iraq or afgan there is talk about it so i dont know but anyways i cant wait to do it again. And also Ashley and i did not have any cash on us when you asked for donations so if there is anyway way we can send a check or something to you or where ever for the BBQ and what not or i guess we could just wait tell next time but by then i might forget.... thanks rob

Haha, yeah, I havent seen him posting lately but we had a horrible ride home and his crossfire is no more... I will let him tell all that happened but now I have 5 stitches in my forhead and he has 12, he also has 4 staples in the back of his head. I feel we are fortunate for what happened to the car and what little(relatively) happened to us.

 

Itsky and I limped home together Monday. He with a worn shoulder on the front and me with a 3/8" plugged hole and a sidewall bubble on the rear.

Both of us got fixed up in St Louis.

I burned the master DVD last night. In order to keep costs down, I did not add any music, I did remove the audio track as it was nothing but wind noise over 2mph. The video consists of 3 tracks:

Track 1: The short drive from the lodge down to the Dam to take pictures. As much of the loop on Saturday as I got with the 1st medium crowd, ended up being about 13 Crossfires led by Valk. Finishing off with the Dragon as described in Track 2 (below). (approximately 2 hrs)

Track 2: the end of the loop on Saturday (most of the Dragon before the tape ran out). 3 Crossfires are in view for most of the trip: an unknown red roadster with the top up, Itsky, and dedwards0323. (approximately 20 min)

Track 3: Saturday morning Dragon run with Itsky, but was behind me, there are a few unknown Crossfires seen coming down while we are going up. (approximately 20 min)

That's aweful!! Well, I'm glad you're OK. It must have been a nasty bang up to get that many stitches. It's a good thing these cars are made so well.

 

Car went into the shop today. Getting two new front tires mounted (thanks to the dragon ), getting alignment checked out, oil changed, and a squealing noise when i make a hard turn checked out. Hopefully its nothing too major. I'll find out more tomorrow.
