OK EVERYONE HERES THE DEAL....
I SPOKE WITH THE RESERVATIONS MANAGER AT FONTANA LODGE TODAY.
OUR ORIGINAL CONTRACT AGREEMENT WAS A BLOCK OF 40 ROOMS AT THE RATE OF $74.25 + TAX WITH THE OFFER GOOD ONLY UNTIL MARCH 3.
THIS WAS CLEARLY STATED FROM POST 1 BACK IN NOVEMBER HERE IN THIS THREAD
MANY HERE CONTINUED TO TRY TO RESERVE A ROOM AFTER MARCH 3 AND WANTED THE GROUP DISCOUNT AND WERE BEING TOLD IT WAS NO LONGER AVAILABLE WHICH WAS TRUE.
AFTER A LOT OF NEGOTIATING WITH TIM GAMBLE (RESERVATIONS MGR.) THE MAIN GUY AT THE LODGE TO PULL STRINGS WITH
HE HAS AGREED TO HONOR THE GROUP RATE FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS MADE A RESERVATION REGARDLESS OF WHAT COST YOU WERE QUOTED.
EVERYONE WILL RECEIVE THE PRICE OF $74.25 + TAX PER NIGHT.
UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE BEING QUITE GENEROUS TO US TO MAKE THIS AGREEMENT WITH ME OUTSIDE THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT TERMS.
NOTE
THERE ARE ONLY 5 ROOMS LEFT
THEY CAN ONLY BE BOOKED BY CALLING TIM GAMBLE DIRECTLY.

Who is coming down the east coast from the North? I'll be picking up I-95 to I-85 to I-40. Just wondering if anyone wants to convoy... I'm leaving early Friday morning. It's about 580 miles for me...

You guys heading out be careful. We're expecting rain about all week with some storms Thursday. (this included the Dragon/Fontana Dam area) Around here, though, the weather forecast changes daily.
So far Saturday is looking good. Sunny in the low 70's. Crossing my fingers on that one.
