re: 2nd annual Spring 2009-Tail of the Dragon Crossfire meet April 3, 4 & 5
Since this will be our first trip to The Dragon we're trying to figure out everything we'll be needing to bring along.
We've got cookies for the BBQ, my trusty bottle (and/or flask) of Yukon Jack, some curds, sausages for Max, not to mention things like clothing (always a good idea. Don't want to scare the youngun's!), a map or 2, camera & maybe one of the company's laptops.
In addition, we'll be needing music for the ride (Mapquest says 14hrs., 15m.; 823.74 miles & oddly enough, it's got darn near the exact route I was planning. Who would've thought!).
Time to burn several CD's !!
So, how about some suggestions for the rookie!
I've got:
Can't drive 55 - duh
Bad Boys Running Wild - Scorp's
Breakin' the Law & Turbo Lover - J. Priest
Highway to Hell
Highway Song - Iggy Pop
Red Barchetta - Rush (STILL the world's greatest 3 man band!)
Moving in Stereo - Cars
etc., etc.
Any further suggestions are welcome .
Heck, I've got 28+ hours to kill!!
Just please, no country, no rap. Heck, even a good "moving" concerto is OK!
Well, except for Flight of the Bumblebee........I'd rather stick needles in my eyes.

Our professional Photographer from US129photo.com will be present at Fontana Lodge to take pictures of the wedding ceremony and the cutting of the cake.
I spoke with the owner today and they will gladly donate their services to cover this special event.
They enjoy working with our Crossfire group each time we meet and are happy to be able to be part of this occasion.

How about Ridin' The Storm Out by REO Speedwagon. Hopefully we won't have to act that one out though.
