There will be plenty of non SRT6s there.

The tough part isn't keeping up with the SRT6s, it's keeping up with Franc and +fireamx.

I can't speak for everyone, but as long as they are passionate about driving, I see no problem with a few extras. They have to stay at the back of the pack, though. I don't want to be slowed down. It's beginning to look like we will have a few non-crosfires this Spring. The hotel should have plenty of non-reserved rooms, so no need to ostracize them.

Well I've been on the fence for a while about the Spring TOD. Now it looks like I will not be able to make it. Unfortunately I have to been out of the country for work from 3/12 to 4/2 which means driving 1000miles is pushing it a little bit. I will be keeping my eye out for all the posts during/after the TOD, but will be unable to make it.

I have just added a new member...
He has interest in the SRT6 and asked to join us.
He currently has this Audi and will be coming to the Dragon.
I spoke briefly with him on the phone earlier today.

74.25 per night is the cost for a room.
At the time these rooms were reserved that was said to be a 25% discount.
This is a very good rate for the Fontana Lodge and it is also due to off peak season.

 

$75 a night is not bad. You will forget all about the cost once you meet all the great members in the lobby for bull sessions, and take in the local drives in your car. It is a blast... or I mean priceless!

Does every one plan on meeting at the redroof inn in florence again on friday morning for the drive down?

I'm leaving my place (40 miles west from Chicago) Thursday afternoon.(April 2nd)
I'll spend the night at the Red Roof Inn -Florence, Kentucky
Crossfirefrank, msgump, msxfire,and Rapps Yellow CF will join me that evening at the hotel and we will have dinner next door.
Then on Friday morning we are also joined by tnn14 & James1549 and we all leave for the 5 hour run to the Fontana Lodge with our first trip through the Dragon along the way.


We hooked up with Franc Rauscher and oledoc2u near Lexington last fall and had quite a convoy heading the last 4 hours of the trip.
This will be the plan for this Spring meet and we can add Cathy to the list this time.
Anybody else who wants to join in along this planned route we all welcome you.


I return home on Monday in a non stop trip back to Chi-town.
