So were looking for some feedback from the regular members who have attended as to whether this new spot is something we should go for next year.'
The picture below has a white arrow pointing to our current spot and a red circle where "Harbor" can get us in with the Vipers and the prowlers.
Also being considered is returning to our 2007 spot at the Church lot in Ferndale just south of 9Mile rd. and Woodward. MAP & PHOTOS

 

Now that I can see exactly where that lot is....................I think it would be a good location for 2010.

There is nothing wrong with the Marriott Hotel..........parking lot is good for the Xfires and Tailgating. It is a good drive down Opdyke onto Woodward Avenue and then south to 13th. No real need to take the Interstate.

Although the 'church lady' was great to us, that location is too far from the action and the parking is now much too small for our needs.

Woody's and the Tavern on 13 are good eating spots but if we tried something different, that would not be a problem and probably good to have a change.

With all that said and done..............it is unlikely that our Xfire will be available to us for the 2010 Cruise, so I don't think we will be going next year. It was three great years at Woodward (The Dream Came True)!

 

Roy, a member is a member in my view, join the group for 2010 something would work out for parking a non-XF I'd think. It's not an earthquake is it???? All our best- Ann and Gary.

 

If it works out that Gary gets that new Viper (the 'golden snakechute')...........I'd certainly rethink and drive down there in an old 'K' car, just so I could be the co-pilot with him. What are the chances that is going to happen..........the ball is in your court???

Roy - Agree with Rapp's. You've been a loyal and valuable member and you're always welcome to any future event, Crossfire or not. In the unlikely event you don't have a Crossfire, you can always ride in my backseat (oops... maybe not, but come anyhow).

 

Here's the response from Chrysler regarding the school location, so we're covered with whatever the group decides:

Hi Jim - I'm already talking about next year here as well and discussed including you guys next year. I'm thinking we can always fit you guys in front of the school along with the Prowlers (I think I've fit nearly 110 in there) but we're also looking at possibly utilizing the lot south of our display on the other side of the drive (in front of the old Rite Aide store) Either way I'll make something happen just give me a call next June or so and we'll work out the details

I really like the weird effect that happened to your wheels in the video where you are on your way to Woodward. For a second I thought I was still drunk from last night!

 

mbepic - If I were a betting man (which I am) I would wager everything thing I've got that if Ann handles the parking next year, your car will be assigned the spot on the edge of the cliff.

Oh well, a cliff it is................but I doubt if my Xfire will be there; Ann, you just looked awful tired and I think we can all plead guilty to that once in awhile........you did a great job!
