1st annual Spring 2008 "Tail of the Dragon" meet - April 4, 5, 6
re: 1st annual Spring 2008 "Tail of the Dragon" MEET!
Uh......ok
Bill,
I think with over 4,000 views to your thread the system was working just fine. Now I have to look all over for the info and then cannot post a reply there but go somewhere else. I don't recall an event bringing more than fifty crossfires together posted before, why do people feel the need to complicate a perfectly good sysytem to get important info out to people that are attending. I agree with you, this is a national event and the info should be posted for all to see as quickly and easily as possible.

That new section "Crossfire Meets" is simply a QUICK VIEW INDEX to reference all the meets going on from a single location in this forum. It contains threads with a link to the actual meet and that is why replies are not allowed. CLICK HERE

The Index(Cross-reference) is a good idea for all the Meets going on, as long as the Threads are not there.
I have No Problem with that.
No Replies, is also appropriate, if it is Only an Index.
My Best!

re: 1st annual Spring 2008 "Tail of the Dragon" MEET!
I can't make it to join you folks on the drive on the dates specified, but I'm really glad that the drive was publicized because I've never heard of the "tail of the dragon" before.
It wasn't until I researched it further and Silverfox mentioned the actual location of the road on another post that I realized that the "tail of the dragon" is only 45 minutes from my parent's place in Knoxville!
So, although I won't be there to support the meet, I will be driving that road from now on every time I visit my parents, which is about 4-5 times a year! Thanks again for opening my eyes to something that I never knew about before...

re: 1st annual Spring 2008 "Tail of the Dragon" MEET!
Bill, just alittle poem I will share with the forum members.
It's winter in Canada. The gentle breezes blow. Seventy miles an hour at twenty-five below. Oh, how I love Canada when the snow's up to your butt. You take a breath of winter air and your nose gets frozen shut. Yes, the weather here is wonderful so I guess I'll hang around. I could never leave Canada 'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!!
Looking forward to some warm weather at the Dragon.
