Default Gullwing doors like the old Mercedes?

I've seen quite a few posts about Diablo lambo type doors. We I've been looking at the crossfire and I think it would be great to have Gullwing doors instead. You'd have to cut into the roof and attach the door but it would look 1,000,000 times better and actually be a gullwing door instead of a wanna be diablo door that has to swing out first then up. :|

Is this even possible? Man that would rock.

If you have enough money, everything is possible. Keep in mind that there is no structure to the door around the window, so there is nothing to attach a hinge mechanism to. Also, I'm sure the roof would have to be strengthened significantly to support the weight of the door and hinge. By the time you added all this extra roof structure and some type of window frame, I think it would be hard to make it look good.

nooo way.

gullwings would not work without a door frame around the window. and cutting into the roof to make it part of the door weakens the roof, and the rigidity of the car. talk about a chop job...

I'm sure a custom shop could do it and have it look and feel factory. Imagine it for a sec. Ohhhhh sexy.

I never do chop jobs! Never!

I just think on this car is would rock.

money, money, money
money is all you need...
It would change the look of the car even with the doors closed.

Why not just get the motorized lambo-style doors from Kleemann. If I remember correctly, there in the ballpark of 20k or so ...
