Default StarTech Contest

Reading through some old threads I came across this:

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...arTech+Contest

all 23 pages of it.

It's been a year since the bogus StarTech $1,000 giveaway. Was it ever explained why the winner was never paid and whatever happened to the owner of this site?

Andrew, do you know anything about it?

I believe that question will stir up some emotion.
This site is run by a phantom-

i wasn't involved in the contest. and i don't know if an answer was ever given to the board or the winner. however... julian does visit/monitor the board on a regular basis but only posts on a very rare occasion. i even send pm's to julian and they go unanswered (or maybe viewed without a response). i wish he would be more involved. this is his baby and creation. kind of a bummer imo.

That's funny we had a performance shop out here in delaware called racer x, they claimed to have a skyline for a contest. If you spent over a certain amount, it would enter you into the drawing to win it at the end of the year. Well time came and went and no one won the skyline it was all false. So their being sued out there as* right now by like 6 guys that probably spend over $10,000 a piece at the shop. They changed there shop name and moved location to Newark, De to try to get out of the law suit but it didn't work. We see them time to time and bit*h them out. No one really likes them around here even though they do good work.

It is a real bummer that the winner didn't get the money, that just wasn't right, but at least he or she didn't have to spend any money to enter.
