Default You know you were speeding...

When you get pulled over in a 50 MPH road and you hear your spoiler close...

Happened to me last night...

Actually that might make a good defense!

"Officer, there's no way I could have been going over 57 mph. My spoiler was down!"

...what was the damage, or did you get off with a warning?

I don't know how many police officers are aware of just what it takes to get our spoilers "aroused". But all you need is one "well read" patrolman to ruin your whole day.
I never thought very much about it until I read Rabidraiders quote, and suddenly I realized, all it takes is one small "detail" (like the spoiler waving at them) to provoke a cop enough to issue a ticket.
Just one more "cross" for the Limited XF owners to bear.

As long as you can put it up and down with a push of a button at any speed the police can't use it against you.

I just pictured the spoiler going down in front of the cop and looking very obnoxious...

Well You can put the spoiler up or down until you hit 62-65 then it's up until you drop below that at least on my car it's like that.

I am glad you clarified that as I thought maybe mine was acting up. I have read posts saying it was manually activated but mine did not when i pushed button.

I think the manual says you are not to run the Crossfire over 60 MPH if the spoiler fails to deploy.

You are correct about the manual stating that you should not drive you crossfire over 62 mph if the spoiler fails to deploy. Of course it is worded a little different but that is the main idea for those of you that want to look this up and read it for yourself the spoiler is covered on page 71 and 72 of your manual.
