Triple A has never let me down. I don't care where you are. As long as you can make a cell phone call AAA will find you a tow truck anytime, any place, any where in the lower 48. I can't speak for Alaska.

And as most of us have at least one other vehicle for every day driving; AAA would cover that one also.

With the hazard warranties available on tires and AAA; I wouldn't even bother with Roadside assistance from any car company. Also many car insurance companies offer road side assistance.

Even when I get my oil changed, I roll out in something like a Sebring convertible or a new Honda Accord for the afternoon.
I don't believe the "loaner" is available on the base model; but I don't know for sure.
You had a bad experience , but it sounds like you don't realize that having anything out of the ordinary happen on a long trip , especially in the dead of night, is going to be unpleasant.

Also , many times you should take the service they tell you that you are not covered for and then when you are home and comfortable you can challenge them as the other poster said, the operators are just operators and it is the middle of the night for them too.

It sounds as though you had a violent blow out which could have easily taken the pressure system down with it. And I don't think the pressure system is much of an issue even if you had it. Why would you need a light. A blow out immediately lets you know. Your friend may well have hit something in the road also.

I have many kinds of coverage but the best is with my cell phone. All major cell services have it and it runs two dollars a month. I have never had a bad experience with them And if you are near a service location, you can even have them send the help from that specific place instead of across town.

What happened to you happens all the time. All of our cars are so much more dependable than they were thirty or more years ago. (before you were born) And back then we had no one to call and yell at.

Get ready for life , there's more to come.

Good luck to you,
RP

"There was no light or warning at the time of the incident or after".

What good would a light do you after the incident?

I believe that run-flats are not supposed to be used on cars without TPS, so that would leave out the base roadster... but I could be wrong.

I don't think you'll find run-flats to fit the OEM wheels. From what I've read, Chrsler tested run-flats on the xfire and it didn't handle well.

The biggest I have found so far are 18", nothing bigger. But they do make inserts that can go inside your tire to convert them into run flats.
