Re: Crossfires under $20K
For anyone in CA, I spent a day calling or trying every dealership in CA and some in AZ and NV looking for a deal on a new 04'. Most I called were around 26-28k. I found one offered at 25k and was able to get them down 22.3k.
I will say this about mine however, it had 400 miles on it, a slight indentation on one of the speaker grills, two tiny paint looking marks on the silver center bezel, and it had the popping out of 1st problem. The battery also completely died on me the first week. It wouldn't even take a charge. Still, for the price to find the color combo-red/2 tone/manual-I wanted, I really can't complain.
I like the car, love it for the price, but I already miss my 98' M3 and I'm only 2 weeks in. The M3 is a much better drive in all ways except appearance in my opinion.

Re: Crossfires under $20K
I paid right around $22k for my leftover '04 with less than 200 miles. I could have gotten the same car only in black for $300 less but I opted to get my dream color combo. The black one only had 17 miles on it. I had no trade in and financed myself so there was no back end. I am very happy with my purchase.
BTW, my previous car was an '03 SRT-4 that I sold/gave to my younger brother. I had the opportunity to drive it around today and I have to say I really miss the unlimited power. The car right now has between 300-325 whp. Its great being able to hit 80 between stop lights and still have more than enough room to slow the beast down. I also miss the extra doors and backseat. Although, you don't get the same looks that you get with the Xfire, nothing this side of $50K can do that.

Re: Crossfires under $20K
I just purchased a 2004 Leftover for $23k with only 12 miles on it. No down payment or trade needed. They were trying to get $29,700 for it, but I told them how I can get an '05 for that price.
The only problem is I live in Houston and the dealership is in Boston. Good thing I'm on vacation next week. I'll be taking a good road trip, 1900 mile road trip.
