It's the same silver that the stock trim is. I can tell you it was a job to get the color to match since Chrysler does not provide a color code for this trim and my body shop made multiple calls to try to find the answers with no luck. But overall I think it turned out well...

Anybody got the rear diffuser from CTD-Germany? IMO it is more classy than the mopar one.

^^^How is it more "classy". It looks home made to me and doesn't really go with the spirit of the car. Oh well, different tastes then.

How about chroming the plastic diffuser to match the tail pipes and Magnaflow muffler? You can send it to: www.mmmetalizing.com

Not really 'cause I was thinking of adding that diffuser to my XFIREX and at the same time keep the original styling. A chromed diffuser will be awesome than painting it red to match the car color because it won't look too heavy and busy in the rear!

I'm confused...so would the diffuser end up being a shiny chrome color or red?

I think I like the idea of painting it to match the trim. Respdoc, do you think the exterior silver trim is the same color as the interior silver dash? If so, I have some leftover paint that matched perfectly from when I painted my stereo surround. This mod might make the top of my birthday wish list, although I really have my heart set on a Nokia 8800.

It depends..not sure if anyone else has spent much time in both a stock Crossfire and an SRT-6 but I noticed on two of the non-SRT Crossfire loaners that I had the silver in my SRT has a matte, flat finish to it while both of the loaners had a shiny, clearcoated look to the interior silver trim.

So if your interior has this shiny finish to it I would think the color would be the same since my outside silver trim does has this clearcoat look to it.

The finish on my dash does have a very shiny clear coat. When I painted my stereo surround I used at least 5 coats of clear, probably more. The match is near perfect. I'm going to try to find my spray can and get the color code. It might take some time since I'm moving and it is packed in a box about 3 hours from where I'm at, but I should be in my new house by Friday.

i think the '04s have a 'clear coated' finish, and the '05s have a matte finish ('04 owners, look at your A/C ***** for comparison). IIRC.

Just an FYI, I can pick a one up from my local dealer for less than $130. I believe cost is around $170 then I get another 25% off of that. Right now if you are a DC or C-D-J Dealer employee you receive 25% off mopar parts. The dealer owes me a favor so I get parts for their cost minus the 25% because my grandfather retired from Chrysler. I'm thinking about ordering it next week.
