won't crank ( NOTHING happens when key is turned ) probably RCM
or
won't start ( engine turns over for more than 5 seconds but doesn't catch ) CPS or fuel issue or RCM
or
engine starts, but stops after 3-4 seconds, then will do same thing again, but then won't do nothing ( the dreaded SCREEM issue )

MJinks
If you turn the key to the ON position and wait 20 seconds, does the radiator fan spin up REALLY fast?

yes, every electrical item works fine. Just will not crank. I have seen three videos about this problem and everyone shows the same thing. Need to resolder two terminals.

You have been asked twice if the fan spins up to high speed when you turn the key "ON". Do you understand how hard you are making this for those trying to help you?

Understand that NONE OF US are standing next to your car, yet you expect us to help you figure out what is happening. We cannot do that if you can't answer simple questions.

Does the fan speed up in about 30 seconds or not? This tells us if the engine control relay output is not there, and it tells us if the switched ignition output to the FCM is there - these two pieces of information are fundamental to determining what is going on.

So many ask for help and then don't many to hear the solutions.

What does it do, not do when you try to start it. What do you mean, replaced the screem and ignition?

My fan speeds high within the first 30 seconds of me trying to crank the engine over. There's no clicking from the starter. I thought it was my battery but my battery is fully charged. What is the skreem and it's function. And would it effect why my car is not turning over? Thankyou for the replies in advance.

If your car is doing this (see video). Problem is the relay control module. I can fix it.
Email me at tighed1@hotmail.com for details.

Yes, it is the RCM, not the screem.

I am headed out now to see if my RCM is the issue on the R170 I picked up in the rain yesterday. Thanks for the Video.
