All apologies Saldous but...Great God what an UGLY thing. I remember there was an English auto reviewer that said the Crossfire looked like a dog taking a crap. Well I have to say this looks much worse. Maybe a wart hog vomiting?

You know, I kind of miss the old "Bread Van" Z3 coupe that BMW built in the late nineties and into the first few years of this decade. There was an "M" version of that car, and it looked sort of like an old MGB GT. The rear of the car looked acres wide with the "M" version's rubber filling up the flared rear fenders.
Even if the design of Chris Bangle's cars is innovative and in some cases striking, there is not one new BMW that I would call "beautiful" in the sense of a classic Jag E-Type, Porsche 356 Speedster, etc. Now that new Porsche Cayman, on the other hand, has the kind of shape that shames nearly everything else in this class. Check that rear roofline.

Different strokes for different folks. Some people hate the Crossfire too, don't forget that. I personally loved the old Z3 M Coupes looks, but its handling and power far outweighed people's comments of distaste! I personally like the look of the new one. It is unique and like the Crossfire they probably won't sell many of them so you can be original and stand out from the crowd just like we do in our Crossfires.
We will have to wait and see what it looks like when it is released. The Concept Crossfire looked different to final production too remember, so I am sure parts will change.
Also, it now looks like I will be moving to the USA with my job, so I'll have to see my crossfire soon. I'll keep you posted but if anyone is interested in buying let me know.
