There is at least one ME Four-Twelve floating around in DCX's possession. They had it at SEMA last year and it was also featured in an Usher Movie/Video at the beginning of this year among other things I'm sure (it's a fully operational)...
The 300C is based on the older E-class chassis...I can't remember off-hand where I originally read about from a legit site about the end of major part sharing with MB and a quick search just brought up this article from MSN:

Maybe that Chrysler rep. that I have seen around these forums could post here to clear up any confusion?

I know for sure it is built off of one of the Chasis'... I thought it was E but wasn't sure but that definitely sounds right.

The Chrysler "reps" that post in this forum work for BBDO, one of Chrysler's ad agencies; they don't work for DaimlerChrysler specifically as far as having specific car knowledge, just an fyi (and no offense to them).

I can't see the Crossfire getting a big upgrade in 06' if they are going to stop making them after 07'. Although sometime car companys load up the last year model with nice stuff.

...if this was General Motors, they would build you the best version of the car yet, in its last model year! Well, thankfully it is not GM, as they would build you deplorable versions of the same car in its introductory year. At least that's the way it used to be in the old days.
