My "mod" day!
My "mod" day!
Although I haven't taken any pics today, I did a couple cool things to my car, finally. Around here, you see a couple Crossfires and you really wanna make yours stand out, so heres what I did today:
-50% window tint
-Revised emblem decals
-Magnaflow #14220 muffler
I had the muffler installed last, but it would've been nice if the perf shop would've called me 2 days ago when the muffler actually came in, this way, I wouldn't have been 1/2 hr late for work, but that was ok, its the first time that I've had to call in late in almost NINE years that I've been there! As far as the install of the muffler goes, very easy and straight forward. They did have to replace about half the pipe leading into the muffler. Speaking of the muffler, the factory one is weird, but I had them save it because if I do turn the car in (its a lease, right now) I wanna have it to give to them as the next person may not appreciate its "V8 sound". When I say "V8 sound", I'm not kidding! I took the long way back to work just to hear this thing a bit more before I let sit doing nothing for 8 hrs, it sounds that good! Before anyone asks, the muffler was $107.00 and the install was $60.00, so for less than $170.00 you too can make your Crossfire sound waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better with just the right amount of growl, I can't get over it. Now I can update my sig from future mods to current mods. Now I just wish there as a reasonably priced CAI for it, anyone know of one that's actually out there for us?

Re: My "mod" day!
I'm sure your emblems are nice Dan, but how about the center cap logo. Regardless, I'm real happy with the ones I got from Andrew. Especially since they're on and are going to match my red caliper paint, well, once I order and apply it. Painting the calipers is my next mod, a cheap one yes, but nets BIG results! The final mod will be the HIDs, no doubt about it. In closing I really like my car and wish I could buy some rims for it, but I just can't justify it right now as our family is going to be moving next year, so I gotta be cool with the better half.
Re: My "mod" day!
I'm so happy for you Aero Blue that you're happy with your MagnaFlow muffler and with 15K now on my XFIREX the sound is still the same and I'm still loving the sound of it!
Aero Blue did you add that extra weather strip insulation in your doors to really keep your car free from wind noise and popping doors? You can buy that 1/2 inch insulation at AutoZone for less than 5 bucks and insert it behind the stock rubber where there's around 1/2 inch space.
Also if you bring your car in the brushless car wash it will keep you from getting sprinkled with water!

Re: My "mod" day!
If you paint your calipers...get also the cross drilled Brembo rotors and with your new muffler it'll scare the hell out of those ricer cars! Just don't race 'em though...it's not worth it especially if a cop will get you for racing-acceleration s***! I didn't do it but it'll be worst if you're caught doing it!
Re: My "mod" day!
I didn't add anything to the doors, but have been through my favorite touch-free a couple times and didn't get a shower of any kind.
Also, I'm glad I have the decals on my car because come to think of it, the next owner has the option of leaving them on or taking them off and putting the car back to stock. Speaking of stock, I'm picking up the OEM muffler next week in my "hooptie" as not to even think of messing up my Crossfires rear cargo area.
Once again, thanks to Andrew and his high quality decals, they are even better lookin' in person, trust me guys!

I don't come on here much anymore, but it seems like EVERY thread has you trying to either sell or give them away.
Try e-bay or a PM.
Re: My "mod" day!
Actually, I posted some pics so as not to have to look at farm animals in the gallery! Even BMWs are better than that!
And since I have had at least 6 or so new crossfire owners request them on their first day here, I've noticed that they PM me and haven't even made a post here yet!
