Default Major 350Z problem found

Hey i was watching the news and they showed this special about the 350Z. Turns out that all the models produced so far, are showing some problems with suspension. The suspension is so messed up that its causing the tires to wear out real quick (about 10000 miles or less) and really loud noises are coming from the tires rubbing against something. Now all I can do is laugh at my cousin and his 350Z that is supposedly better than my xfire. This could be a bad thing for Xfire owners though b/c with 350Z sales probably to be dropping more people might buy Xfires, which would suck b/c the best part about the crossfire is that u don't see thousands of them on the road. Oh yeah, and on the special they showed that nissan ain't even owning up tot he problem. The problem can't be fixed and all nissan is doing is replacing tires. Nissan just might have ended the 350Z era.

This problem has been known for quite some time.

I've seen some up for sale with 'new tire's and mileage of only 4000 miles.
The problem has been discussed on the 350z forum for some time.

Just one of the many problems that are occurring with the 350. How about that tranny problem?

Gentleman this reminds me of the old axiom "Quality is remembered long after the price has been paid"
I think we may yet, be glad that the running gear on our cars has been around for some time and that mercedes has produced some 350,000 engine units...

Here's some more problems with the 350Z according to Road & Track June 2005 issue:

1. The fit and finish are nowhere near than that of the Honda S2000 and Mazda RX-8. How much more from the Crossfire?

2. Excessive road noise from the low profile 18 in. tires, gear whine and general boominess to the interior.

3. Recall on the Bose amp. sounding muddy.

4. The lack of usable luggage space caused by the huge rear cross brace for stiffness meaning the Z is relegated to the mostly one-person trips. Plus, Z owners didn't get the nice luggage that we have!

5. Annoying to-close center console cubby driver.

6. Transmission had to be replaced at 25,590 miles when the 5th gear started " crunching " with every shift.

7. Hot spots on the clutch necessitating a new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and flywheel ($1183).

8. Stoppers for both windows left grease streaks on the glass.

9. A couple of plastic pieces on the driver's seat fell apart.

While the luggage was a nice surprise for most people, you can't hold it over their head that they didn't get it too. It was not free, we paid for it in the price of the car as it is plainly listed on the invoice which was pasted to the windshield before taking delivery of the car.
