04 Prices continue to drop...
Re: 04 Prices continue to drop...
Hey Hong;
I'm going to run out to my car and get you a great contact at Fremont
Auto West......... Ok..here it is:
William Brown......Sales Consultant.... Sales person
Danny Vicochea..... Floor manager......He really works to make a sale.
I have referred a lot of people down to them. But depending where you live, maybe Stoneridge may be a better place for selection.
Tell William and Danny that "Ron" sent you. I know they remember me.

Don't feel too bad though, I'm sure the word "snow" isn't in most people vocabulary out there.

By the way GAS is around $10 USD a gallon in the UK .. don't you all complain about the price of GAS either.... amazing for a country that is self sufficient in oil ...
Re: 04 Prices continue to drop...
I was looking at buying a new 500SL and went to price them. I figured that I'd see what I could get on my 04 and was told $18,000 tops. I paid $37,000 in 03, like the car and decided to keep it. I'll drive it forever, keep it as a 2nd car. Pretty big hit huh?
Re: 04 Prices continue to drop...
I am complaining because it looks like I am going to loose about $12K on my 02' Firebird. I feel for those of you that paid at or above sticker for your Crossfire when they 1st came out.
I am not saying this is your situation but I don't understand those buyers who will pay a premium to be the first on their block to get a new car. When the '05 Mustangs came out a dealer was asking and getting $5k over sticker on a 6 cyl a year ago. Now you can get them at invoice. Same with the HEMI 300C, Magnum R/T and now Charger R/T.
Funny thing is though I could get an new '04 Xfire for about $27k now and still be the first on my block.

Try this simple calculation: $47,317.06 USD for a new xf roadster in the UK' convert it to SGD and I bought my '04 xfire about a year ago in Singapore + parallel overseas import + tax = approximate $210,000,000 + always in love with my xfire.
Re: 04 Prices continue to drop...
Here in South Africa the prices are dropping even more...I paid R279 000 ($39,000) for my 2004 with 6000kms on the clock from a Chrysler dealer, yet new ones are selling for R425 000 ($60,000)!
And all the ones here come fully loaded including a 3 year/ 60,000 maintenance plan.
I still reckon the guys who have bought theirs for R425 000 won't be selling them at the price I paid. The dealers say that these low prices are only valid on all the demo cars, coming from Chrysler South Africa and that when actual owners selling their cars second hand start selling, the prices should be higher.
Can only hope. Don't plan on selling mine anytime soon though.

Re: 04 Prices continue to drop...
The large dealership here in Southern CT which had 6 2004's (coupes') in the lot, now has none left. They all have sold. Two were 6 speeds and 4 were automatics. I suspect that if you are wanting to get into a Crossfire at the 04 Price range... the inventory is getting thinner?

I had a great experience purchasing from them last week.
