IN the morning you are taller its just a fact, so im way more comfortable driving in the evening.

I just need a little more bolster in my lower back and ill be sorted.
I am a chiropractor and I'll concur that you are taller in the morning then in the evening. It has to do with the discs between the vertebrae. At night while laying down and no gravity compressing the discs, water is absorbed making them thicker. As the day, and gravity takes it toll on your spine, water is "squeezed" out of the discs, making them fractions of an inch shorter. But if you add up this fraction in all 24 discs, you might be about 1/2" shorter in evening.

I read your link and it does mention "a little taller in the morning" but I doubt you would even notice the difference; on the flip-side, if your driving one of those super-rockets in a non-gravitational environment, you probably would notice the difference. However, "lumber" supports would be useless when your floating.

I'm 6'3 as well and I fit pretty good but it could be better. What I wish could be done would be to remove that plastic leg bumper thing undearneath the steering wheel.. That would give a few more inches leg room.. my legs are constantly against it.. I tried but I couldn't figure out how to remove it.. Although it looks like theres sepearte screws holding it on, I think it's part of the entire dash, like one huge piece.. If anyone could figure out how, that would be awesome.

Has anyone noticed the thickness of the seat back? It seems to me that if someone would take out some of the thickness (extra material) from the back of the seat it would allow the seat to recline another 1 or 2 inches? Not sure if it can/would be possible, but worth a look?

My 2 cents!!!!

Any ideas?

You do understand that we are taller by a few millimeters in the morning then we are at night, right? Look it up, its true information.

yes, it does ... but the song isn't necessarily reflective of fact ... three years ago, we were getting a LOT of rain here in the SF area ... and I mean a LOT ... the company that I worked for at the time decided to close during the week between Christmas and New Year ... everyone got paid, we just didn't have to go to work ...

So, MrsS and I packed a bag and headed south ... looking for sunshine.

What we got was one of the biggest rainstorms to hit SoCal in decades ... we'd have been better off to stay at home ... but, I did get the chance to hook up with some old friends and we went out to dinner at a place in Newport Beach that we'd not been to in years ... so, it was all good.

Long story short (too late for that, isn't it?) ... it DOES rain in Southern California ...

Back to the original topic. I installed SLK seats just this week into my Crossfire. I replaced Base cloth seats with power, heated, black leather seats from a 2003 AMG SLK. The seat tracks are identical and the core design of the seats is the same as seats in the Xf Limited and SRT-6. The only difference is the stitching pattern, of which I prefer the SLK pattern.

The wiring for the seats was in place, just added the power seat relay to the pre-installed socket under driver dash. Heated functionality not yet rigged, as it is a bit trickier with no factory wires in place. Ran accross these seats nearly by accident on craigslist and purchased after reading other posts on installing power seats in a Base car. Really happy with the installation- super easy and I love the color match and pattern of these particular seats.

I also have to attest to the morning/evening height difference. I usually just barely(?spelling) bump my head in the morning and don't at night going home. BTW I'm 6'2.5".
