Default Headlight lenses

Unless you had the foresight to cover your lenses with clear bra material, you will start to show some pitting in them that will begin to look pretty terrible at night, especially if you live in snow country. Anybody have a way or method to clear up the lenses again, short of replacing the unit entirely? This is going to be a problem on more and more cars as the manufacturers take out the glass and go to plastic.

I believe Zaino makes a product that can be used on both the windshield and the headlight lenses to fix the pitting/scratching problem associated with road debris, rock salt, sand, and whatever else causes pitting.

Im going to get some microfiber pads for my rotary polisher and get either the zaino product or the autoglym product and go to town, they say it wont get rid of deep pitting but it will get you to the point of repair to put clear bra on it. My windshield and the front of the car are a mess. Im going to get it all looking as good as i can and the clear bra it. but i do have 31K miles on the clock.

Now if only I had done this in the first case!!!! (as napolean dynamite woudl say...errhhhhh.IDOIOT!!)

I put rainx on the headlight. It tends to fill in the pits and make them not so noticeable. I even use it on the nose of the car. Works great. Those clear bras look like **** after a little while. A buddy of mine has it. Really makes the car look cheap. Just keep waxing the nose every week. It will help. When it gets really bad, take the $600+ you were going to spend on the clear bra and have the nose reshot with clear. It will look brand new. Or just don't drive the car in the winter like I do. Black is tough. Mine is Graphite.
