Can you fit 4 x 19" wheels without tyres in a coupe?
Can you fit 4 x 19" wheels without tyres in a coupe?
Hi all
Well I've decided to go and test fit some wheels next Tuesday and I'm sure I'll end up buying a set and wanted to know has anyone ever squeezed a set of 19"rims without tyres in a coupe?
I'll be going down alone so I can use the passenger seat.
It will probably be 4 x 19" but it might be 2 x 19" & 2 x 20" I'll unbox them.

Haven't tried but why would it set a light, there is no airbag in the seat ? Connections are just for the heater and power seat motors.
From 2004 FSM page 23-202:
1. Move the seat (1) all the way back to its lock position.
2. Pull the plastic front covering (3) from the seat tracks.
3. Remove the two front seat track bolts (2)
4.. Move the seat all the way forward to its lock position.
5. Remove the bolt (2) on the seat track for the seat belt mounting.
6. Remove the belt end from the seat adjuster.
7. Remove the rear two bolts (1) attaching the seat track to the floor.
8. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the seat heater and the electrical seat adjustment.
9. Move the seat backward, lift up and then remove from the vehicle.

I bought a set of four wheels, with tires mounted, on craigslist. I thought I was buying just wheels. But I got all four in the car. So yes, it can be done.
If I remember correctly, I had one rear and one front in the rear bottom, standing up, side by side. Then one front stacked on top of them, on it's side, (yes, I got the hatch closed). Then the last rear went in the front seat standing up. I put the back of the wheel facing the console, for a little more room.
Do I suggest doing such a thing? Not really. But ya' gotta do what ya' gotta do sometimes.

I know that's what I thought but I suppose it's surprisingly deep and with the load cover back it's even deeper up to the rear screen

The guy I bought them from was pretty surprised as well. He didn't think there was any way I was going to get it done.

I hate to sound stupid, but, how do you post on this form, I can't for the life of me figure it out? I have just purchased a 2005 Crossfire and have a problem and being a newbie, would like to throw it out to the form and see how it is responded too?
