They know I am right deep down. That is why they get so angry. And a somewhat fast car?
Traps at what a STi does in the 1/4. Try not launching at redline and see what your 1/4 mi is. I saw one do that and it ran a 14.2. And a Reg WRX can only pray hanging with one. Only chance stock vs stock is from a dead stop. There are numerous videos of STi's losing to SRT-4's. And have seen some vids of sti's winning. And I paid over 10k less than what i could have gotten a used STi for. The STi is a great car dont get me wrong, I love it. Was my 1st choice but the extra cash didnt warrant it. And a regular WRX is a waste of time, used to have one. trapping at 100mph in one is a huge accomplishment.

And about the respect actually look at some of the ages of owners of srt-4's they are all not in there teens and twenties.

Seriously I highly recommend getting one for 15k, got mine for a steal, you can't beat it. Once I sell the crossfire, I will be either starting a Fox body notch back project or waiting a year or so and buying a 03 Cobra again. Depends how things go. Imagine a high 12 second srt-4, and my 500whp cobra. ::drool::

Good luck with school, and getting a SRT-4 worth every penny.

Doesn't warrant the 10 grand????? (deep breathe, here we go again)....AWD, brembo breaks, center control differential, momo steering wheel, bbs wheels, intercooler water spray, recaro seats, #1 in reliability and fun to drive (said consumer reports), able to out handle the SRT-4 all day...and im sure im missing some....add all that up and its well worth the extra $10k, and being able to keep the car for at least 5 years w/out it falling apart is a plus .....all the srt-4 has going for it is straight-line accel. It may be able to made as fast as an STI for cheaper than 10 grand but there is no way you'll get the entire performance package the STI has..I'm sorry their just in different classes...

The sti's for around 26k had over 20k miles on it, and one was missing the BBS wheels. SO they didn't warrant the extra cash for me. And my biggest thing is straight line performance. Don't forget the SRT-4 can get 30 mpg :-D. For less than a thousand dollars i'll be running 12's So all in all ill have 16k in my srt-4 and running around a 12.7@109 or so. And the handling is fine for me. I just don't think the STi warranted an Extra 240 bucks a month. Maybe if i found one with 5k miles like my srt-4 did for around 25k OTD. But otherwise not worth it to me. Don't get me wrong the STi is one of my favorite cars. I'm sure you could have gotten an STi for what you paid for your RX-8.

I have read some very good reports about the SRT4 and nearly bought one. My wife loved it. She said it would make a fast grocery getter. When she said that I realized it didn’t have that sports car appeal that I needed. It also comes in some less expensive models with less performance just like the Crossfire does. I have a very fast Corvette and it satisfies my need for speed but isn’t too dependable. I made a decision after I survived cancer that I would never buy a boring car ever again. I would have bought a Neon if it had two doors and/or cruise control. The Neon seemed “run of the mill” in every way except for the engine. I actually test-drove the neon twice. It felt pretty good. Also, have you noticed how they look after a few years? To me a luxury sports car just can’t have 4 doors no matter how fast it is and why does it not come with cruise control? I bought the Xfire because it is a blend of looks, luxury, comfort and performance. I did not choose the SRT6 because I still have the Corvette and I like shifting through all six gears.

I’m not picking a fight here because I do understand that people are attracted in different ways and that is a good thing!

~actually dont let the name fool you..i traded in my rx8 for a used 04 STI which had 11K miles on it and stickered at 27K but i payed 26....so i feel thats way better bang for buck than a brand new SRT-4...

Thats right i got you confused with that other guy, that said the rx8 is way faster than the crossfire. My bad. Who said I bought a new srt-4? I bought a used 04 with 5k miles in brand new shape for 15k out the door. the 26k for the 20k miles STi was no OTD. You have to comapre apples and apples, i was comparing both used, you are comparing a new srt-4 to a used STi. A better bang per buck than both of them is a 03/04 Cobra for 25k you can't be touched.
