Hey kid all it takes is money and *****. If you have to tell us how much money you got . then from experience . that person hasn't as much as he says . I've seen many go bust fast. as for racing xfires I could fix mine up too . then if you have more ***** than I have you are stupid. I can take it to the wall.
And you really do not who you are really talking to on the chats kiddo. Come to laguna seca and we will see how you handle the cork screw.

right now there are about 31 crossfire's on eBay. and approximately 16 srt-4s. your argument almost makes sense, except that the crossfire (all varieties) is produced in much higher numbers than the srt-4. (25K vs. maybe 9K a year). so, one might conclude that any given srt-4 is slightly more likely to be auctioned than any given crossfire. another thing that is somewhat interesting is that 10-15% of the srt-4s on eBay are sporting a salvage title.

Out of the 16 srt-4's that means 2 have a savage title? Big deal. Check any car with power, and you will find savaged titles. WRX, EVO, Mustang, etc. Don't forget the srt-4 has been out since 03. And original plans were to build 3000 a year, but they actually produced 13,000 a year due to the car selling so well. And any car being on Ebay doesnt really prove anything, I put my M3 on ebay because I was hoping to get more money for it.
Best way to compare, go to autotrader, there is only 5 SRT-4's in a 100 mile radius of me. There are over 20 crossfires. My srt-4 still has a trade in value of over 16k. 20k new. Probably get 18k for it selling it out right. 10 percent in 1 year? Not bad and Hmmmm 2k away from what my crossfire is worth. Losing 43 percent in about a half a year is crap.

Oh to the guy talking about the handling, sport compact got the srt-4 to slalom at 69mph.

And dan what does a mini have to do with anything? They still have waiting lists for them new here for the S. The 06 Mini cooper S is going to be turbocharged. And the jcw is going to 225hp or more. And awd will be an option next year. Kind of stupid to make of a car with the best resale value out there right now.

Check some other posts grandpa, I am not the one bragging about being loaded, that would be buckeyedad42, the man who could have bought a F50 but settled for a crossfire.
Usually I don't go into grammar use, but its warranted here. So you need to fix up your crossfire to hang with a neon? LOL I really had a hard time deciphering what you wrote. Anyways, never been to laguna, so you got me. LOL Same with millions of other people. How about this, I'll meet you at Laguna Seca and you meet me at English class.

Hey Bullseye...were you ignorant of the "shortcomings" of the Crossfire when you bought it? You don't seem like the type that would make an uninformed purchase of a vehicle. As a matter of fact, it seems like you are very thorough in your research...and you've made a great case for the SRT over the Crossfire (from your perspective)...so it begs the question: Why did you buy your Crossfire in the first place?

Just wondering....

Great: I'm sure you'll be happier. As for me, the minute my last payment is made, the car gets gutted and turned into a true race performer.

Comparing Crossfires and SRT-4s is like comparing dogs and cats or apples and oranges .Zero comparisons.

Kinda like Road and Tracks Best all around sport cars test.Even putting in a Lotus Elise kitcar is compleatly nonsense .If you drop the new 911 almost $80k tested and Elise a kitcar and the SRT-10 $80k,the Boxster and Corvette win anyway but they're both $60k tested.they wouldn't put the Crossfire in that bunch because it's an older platform only better like the Corvette and Porsche hummm.I wonder why? Maybe because it would blow all others out for looks and value ? When DC puts the 350 engine in the crossfire what will they say ?should have been a V-8 !

Dan I totally agree with you there. any way I thought this was a crossfire forum. Why don't those whom do not think much of the car. Go play else where after all most here are here for info. not to be bashed. By some Ricky Racer. If I wanted a 1/4 mi car I'd get a dragster. If I wanted a completive track car I'd look at the ford GT. Or find An old chaparral. they are fast enough for me . But I like to watch anymore. now.

I've told why, numerous times. But if need be, I'll say em again. I was not ignorant of the cars short comings. It was the payment that made me buy the car 300 a mo for a 35 thousand dollar car. Or I could pay that for a 23k mini S or buy a SRT-4. So i thought to my self, eh its quick enough and I'm gettin a more expensive car for the money. I wish I just bought a SRT-4 to begin with, but what can you do?

bullseye, you will not win this arguement on a xf forum, and i wouldnt go to any other car forums other than a srt forum talking about this neon. The srt is a somewhat fast car, but it doesnt get much respect from people older than 18....sorry

Exactly! A neon is in a completely different class from the Crossfire.

I think no one would have both! Guess it´s just a matter of taste.

If you made any sense, we'd know what you were talking about.

sounds awesome bullseye! i've wanted an srt-4 since it was a concept. i've only gotten to drive one once but it was the time of my life. i've never driven a fast car other than the srt-4 besides the srt-6. once i finish college and get some money, hopefully i'll be able to get one too! unless they got somethin better by then.
