Skreem module
Skreem module
Just bought a 2004 crossfire with 51000 miles. Have read the the Skreem module may be a problem. Planning a trip south and don't want to worry about this problem. I noticed that there is no beep when I open or lock the doors. Is this A sign of a problem with this module. Should I have it checked or replaced?

Re: Skreem module
If you can lock the doors remotely then the fuse that controls the alarm system hasnt been removed. This tends to be the case when the module is malfunctioning. If you had a new or slightly used key you would see instructions on how to turn the beep on and off. Hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!
Re: Skreem module
The lights flash only without replacing the siren. The SKREEM has nothing to do with the beeping noise some cars have with the mod using the Radio Shack Piezo gizmo or the new alarm.
You are OK, so no worries.
