LoL, hey what can I say. But the rx-8 does blow. If the car is better than the crossfire i'll say it if its not, I'll let you know what i think. Crossfire > RX-8 S2K> Crossfire

Went on a 150 mile trip with the Crossfire, today, in the snow, just to make sure that the car did not need a "breaking in period" for the transmission to start working again. Still popped out of gear at least 4 times. Even before I left the driveway the car popped out of gear!! Bullseye, yes, I do want the Evo, but until I can get out of this car, I won't get anything. This is a serious issue, I must say with the Crossfire, but it also gives me a way out of the Crossfire without losing money. See, after researching the NYS lemon law, if my car is not fixed within 4 trips to the dealership shop, I am capable of claiming that my car is a "lemon." Therefore, I am able to get a car in similar condition or get all of my money back, which is probably what I will end up doing. Maybe, I'll get the SRT-6, as it has an automatic, using the money I get back from Chrysler as a downpayment. I have always enjoyed my Crossfire, but for the price, there are cars that suit me better.

Bullseye I'm not trying to start up a RX8 vs Crossfire Thread, But I'll meet you at the track any day and show you whats up. You have alot of people that dont know how to drive a Rotary Powered car. Then we have hatters such as yourself all around bashing every car except an Crossfire. Alot of people forget when their messing with RX8's on the street that their are two different Types. The manual and Auto. You never know which one your going up against. But I will prove to you that my 6 Speed RX8 will beat yours any time of the day. You name a track around my area and a time and I'll be there, with a camera to show everyone else on this Forum that you lost.

I must say, the RX-8 has one of the best shifters on the market. As for who would win on a raetrack, I would put my money on the RX-8--it is lighter and more powerful (horsepower wise), but on the downside it has sort of long gear ratios, narrower tires, and a lot less torque.

LOL if you only knew, I think the crossfire is the best? LOL People hate me on here because all I do is bash the crossfire. I think the crossfire and the rx-8 underperform, but at least the crossfire has the looks fall back apon. The RX-8 just has its..... well.....its 4yr warranty. I will put my XF against you lil' RX-8 any day. Where are you located? If you are located in my area I have no problem, but I wont drive 100's of miles to prove what a dog the rx-8 is.

Your right about the torque put believe me thats when I say you have to know how to drive a car with a Rotary Engine. You have to say within a certain RPM Range to take full advantage of the cars engine. I love like the Crossfire and decided to join so I could have great car convo but I'm not going to take members like Bullseye telling me he can beat a 8, because he cant. And I will extend the offer for him to try and prove himself on a track. But I'm just trying to defend my car and all the haters that have something to say about Rotary Engine. You always have a few in the croud that disagree just because!

Your in Chicago, I was just there 2 Days ago. I'm in Maryland too bad. But my family is up there and I will drive next time instead of flying. I will bring a Camera with me as well. What does your car do 0-60 in? 1/4 Mile in? What makes you think your car can beat a Manual RX8 anyways? Specs and Numbers from numerous Magazines and TV Shows, show the RX8 out performing the Crossfire. For the rest of the members on here, this has nothing to do about bashing how fast your car is but I have to idea where this peanut head is coming from.

We may get back on Topic if you all choose to do so.......................

You sound like a magazine racer to me, so let me use magazines. Road and track got 14.5@95.4 for your lil' rev happy rx-8. And got 14.7@95.8 for the XF They are hand in hand. Both are 0-60 in the low 6's. And handling and braking are a wash. But I have yet to see a RX-8 at union grove or rt - 66 run anything in the 14 second area. IF you don't EVO launch you car its slow. RX-8 can be looked as a slower worse handling and uglier s2000.
Oh that peanut head comment was funny. Both are cars i think are slow at least mine looks good. And I can beat an rx-8 as many crossfire owners can and have.

Hey Bullseye, getting off topic, I checked out your gallery and I was surprised to see that you had so many cars...do you really own all of those cool cars? What cars do you actually have? Lastly, if you don't mind I ask, what do you do for a living?

on the track i would have to say RX-8 just cause of that amazing redline, and the 50/50 weight distrubtion.

the RX-8 is a handler.

but its still ugly!!! fugly as hell in fact!! If you really want a car for speed and you dont care about looks then you wouldnt buy either, you'd buy a rice burner for 10K and spend 10K making it the baddest boy on the road...So if speed and showing off your *** is your thing and not "class with good solid performance" aka the crossfire, then this is the wrong place for you. Try here http://www.honda-tech.com/zeromain good luck and enjoy !!!

Yes I really did own all of those cars at one time or another, everyone thinks I talk crap but I'm serious. Those are all my cars I have owned worth mentioning or that I have pictures of. The XJ200 and 2000 Mustang Cobra R i did not own. though I was trying to buy the Cobra R. Until the end when they told me it had no warranty and I couldnt buy one. Due to the fact its a race car. Some cars since my floppies are some how corrupt now, I have a Mavica:-D floppy based digital cam. I like it the best still works over a half a decade later. I lost the pictures of my 2002 Pontiac Firehawk and my 2002 WRX. Stupid floppy disks. Anywho, all the big ticket cars I owned the vette, 911, s2000, and M3 were bought when I was a comission based sales man making around 50k a year.Alot of scratch when your 18 and living at home. Yes I was 18 and had a 911 that I was paying for myself. 19 for the m3 though. Now I just work sales and make about half of what I use to and go to school full time. Including beaters I've owned about 30 cars since 16. My friends think I'm nuts. But the thrill of owning nice cars is dying in me. If i get out of my car some how I think im just going to go cheap. Which I prolly wont. Probably buy a cobra again. Right now all I have is the crossfire and a 1995 Mazda 626 ES V-6. Which is for sale:-D

Magazine Driver my ***...... Every Car they test gets a Launch, don't fool yourself dude. I have many specs sheets that say so, Even your Crossfire got a big Launch. Crossfire owners you must excuse me while I reply to this "Peanut Head" again. Dude I will be out there some time next year to see my family and when I do your going to be so embarrassed. I'm putting down $1,000 Dollars right now, stock 6 Speed RX8 to Stock 6 Speed Crossfire that I will beat you! You have no idea what you messing with.............. By the way, many of those Crossfire owners that have beating the 8 must have went against the Auto RX8..... Sorry to let you down! But so many people get confused when their against an RX8. The Auto and the Manual are two very different Beast on the Road!

Why don't you show us pictures of all the cars you've had? I think your bull $hitting alot of us right now!
