Default These cars do hold up - just rolled 70,000

Seems like I just bought it.....

Can't believe it has been 4 years and 50,000 miles – here is my original post days after I got it:

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...e-sunroof.html

Odometer just turned 70,000 – still looks and runs the same as the day I drove it home.

Aside from the RCM solder fix and a new radio head unit, nothing but basic maintenance (and two sets of tires)

Daily driver, pounding over pot-holed surface streets in heinous traffic dealing with incessant rain (Seattle) and countless weekend road trips with the wifey up into the mountains pushing it to its limits on some of the twistys in the North Cascades. Have had virtually no issues – no leaks (fluids from the car or rain into the car).

It's been road tripped to Frisco twice and Vegas once.

Two golf bags will fit in the hatch and it has been to most of the golf courses in Western Washington.

Can't beat this car for the price – for about what it would have cost me to buy a Ford Focus I have had a pretty nice daily commuter for the last 4 years and will probably get another one in 2015 (an SRT Roadster if I can find one with low miles).

Nice to see you've had so much luck with it over the years. Neither of the two I had ever gave me any problems that I didn't cause.

Spoonchucker: I agree with you 100%...my Crossie is a daily driver...had it since 2004 ...madly in love with it...118,000 miles...very little expense: crank/cam sensor, hood strut, alternator, sticky key,and 1 battery... Agree, they are really good cars...Carl

7 years now with mine and I have added 70,000 miles to the 17k it had when I bought it.
A few minor replacement parts but for the most part trouble free and a pleasure to drive

I sooooo agree with you guys! It is an amazing ride with beautiful optics and much better looking than most sports cars on the market in its price range nowadays.

I am at 80,000 miles (bought at 38,000) and the car is not only a joy to drive but also makes me smile proudly every time I see it sit in my driveway.
Aside from tires, maintenance and 1 battery I had to replace the crankshaft censor and just yesterday did the CRM repair to get rid of the P0410 secondary air injection malfunction error code. Everything is working awesome and I don't think you can get more car for the price!!!

Agreed! I have 83,000 on Black Beauty, with little but routine stuff to fix. The Siren needed to be replaced last year, and I did the EGR as well. I also spent a few good hours redoing the Valve Cover breathers with Black RTV.

$673 including Oil changes to drive this wonderful car for 7 years ( Plus many tyers over the years).

Hey Spoonchucker, I don't remember you from any of our great GTG's up here in the Seattle area. Check out Northwest crossfires on facebook. I would love to meet you and see your car at one of our Meets.

Here I go jinxing myself. I haven't done anything to the cars for the most part. Roadster has had an AIT sensor, and CPS sensor, and the coupe is just now getting a new Crank Pulley which isn't running true. It might be fine for years, but I like it perfect. I have modded them with go fast parts, but haven't had any real problems...watch the roadster die on the way to the Dragon now.....lol
