AlvinByars: Here is copy of the information from Powerchip directly, which may answer your question.
"The Powerchip is designed in unison with the factory engine management system, and will comply with any emission test in the same way as a standard vehicle. Furthermore, the Powerchip enhanced vehicle will continue to utilise the various diagnostic scan capabilities as per factory specification, which means that the dealership or factory cannot tell that you have made any changes to the software. All items offered by Powerchip are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and quality prior to installation. This warranty does not cover abuse, misuse, labor, faulty installation, failure of related or unrelated parts."
If this is true, mums the word!

Bob G,
Thanks for the info. I may go with the Powerchip. I have K&N filters, and although I think I feel a difference, it may be wishful thinking. K&N claims a 2-4% increase in power, so I assume that really means 2%. If they overestimate their increases to the same extent that Powerchip does, then than means 1%, or 1.75 horsepower increase at the rear wheels. Between the two, that's probably an increase of 10-11 hp, and that's worthwhile.

Re: DYNO Numbers(or lack there of)
Been gone the last few days, the dyno sheet didnt pop up but someone said i was pretty close. I would still like to see especially Mpecic? the man with true duals run a dyno, be pretty interesting. If we can get these cars up to 200 whp i dont see why we cant run 13's with perfect conditions, right now on the same whp we run what Acura RSX type s's do or a bit quicker, all they need is 200 whp to run a high 13, so ratio to ratio we should be the same if not a high high 13 a low 14 for sure.
Re: DYNO Numbers(or lack there of)
x'ed. Sorry but superchip will not perform upgrade on our cars. Already tried. Call there headquaters and the only thing they offered was to look at my car. Not at any local dealer but there headquarters in england (live in scotland) They would look but, would not do.
It you live in the UK, contanct Simon at upsolute. (Search these pages) he will come to the house and install. My car has been done with good results. If you live in the US do a search on the web, should be a dealer dear you.

Re: DYNO Numbers(or lack there of)
Any comparisons between the chips and manufacturers like PowerChip and Upsolute? Any that you DON'T need to send your manufacturer chip in to have it done? Are any of the available chips for the car showing dyno numbers like Powerchip and if so, are any of them claiming gains larger than those of Powerchip? Keep hearing about Upsolute, but does it give (documented) the same or better power gain and is it a replacement or a flash of the manufacturer chip? I'm in Phoenix, AZ, so does anyone know a shop that will do such work along with exhausts, etc. in the Phoenix area? Sorry for all the questions...
Thanks,
Julian
