here are two questions:
- has anyone tried the Power Chip add on, for power?
- or tried the air turbos installed in the carb air breather intakes tubes?
what is your opinion on them..

No and No.
IMHO both are junk and the chip MIGHT even cause damage.
The air turbos are just a total waste of money, and will most likely result in a net loss of HP.

You are welcome to review all the threads here and you will find that the EASIEST way to go is a NeedsWings single or dual CAI and a EuroCharged tune. ( If you have an N/A, also add in a 74mm TB upgrade )
Some mechanically blessed individuals have built their own CAI's.

Throttle body upgrade and the tune has now made the wife's list for her new roadster..

Wonder if Reddog is ready to sell that one to me again..

That was good news ala_xfire, I bought the chip awhile ago, but since all the issues the wiring, I didn’t want to add that into the mix. Gut feeling made me shy ways from it and I have been holding it for awhile. Glad I asked and I will look into building my own.
Nod.. to you guys for saving my butt once again

Glad to be of help.
On the chip, I did a lot of research initially myself and found that the vast majority were simply scams. Actually just a 47k resistor in a package made to resemble a chip.
On the 'turbo fan', there is a really funny video somewhere online were some Austrailian dudes check it out and end up applying a pair of battery power leaf blowers, still with no measurable gain.
On fabbing a CAI yourself, check maxcichon 's gallery.

It is me again, one the issue with using the speed control as a accessory for the radio, hitting high rev and speed you blow the fuse and go to shut down. Not good..
New problem; if someone knows where the alarm horn circuit is located on the car. Mine is intermittent and sounds and sickly. Doesn't last long enough to find it, this maybe dumb question but is there a separate horn for the alarm (I ask because it sound different than my regular horns sounds)

The alarm siren is situated under the cowl in front of the windshield, in the center more or less between the windshield wipers.
Removal of the wipers is required to access it. This siren is separate to the horns, which are located in front of the radiator.
The siren fails when its internal battery dies. New sirens ($150) have a beep function when the fob locking buttons are used.
You can see the siren in this thread.

LOL.. I don't think anyone here was born knowing about these cars..

A search for " Cricket on Crack " will bring up some threads on this if you want to look a little deeper.

Must be you just got unlucky ....
I've had mine now for 3 years and it has never failed to start when asked, or died when not asked.

Yep. Been the most consistent and reliable car I've ever owned.

I have had one since 2005 and I have not had one miscue yet. Replaced two headlight bulbs and fixed the seat relay for $1. Apart from general maintenance that's it. I have only done about 27,000 miles on them though.

Once you get past working out her little kinks your dealing with now.. you should have a solid reliable car. There are thousands out there, and we pretty much just get new users with problems looking for answers.. and that's what 1 maybe 2 new users a day?

121k on my clock now and I wouldn't think twice about taking it anywhere on a road trip.. Any car is capable of a failure of some sort.. and I don't consider these cars by any means to be in the "high risk" category ..

Hello Help
I need options> I replace CPS car was working fine until I shut it off. I came back turned the key and it started - then stopped, Did the same again start and stop, on the 3rd try got all the dash lights and no crank.
Days following I cleaned the CPS, reset the connections (try to get in to it and couldn't) module with printed wiring circuit, I got the same response as above - 2 tries but this time no start just crank 3rd time again dash and nothing. I am thinking fuel pump?
Please help and thanks for your endless help
