SOMEONE has GOT to write a tutorial on making changes to the sound system in these cars. We keep getting the almost-same questions all the time.

I'm not the guy to do it - I have no interest in 'upgrading' the sound system of my car. There are many threads on this in "Audio, Video and Electronics", here is a good one:

Your comment did exactly that by not offering an idea and congratulating him on fixing his 'sounds' problem.
Are you suggesting he has fuel pump problems because he mentioned gas or not? Or are you not sure at all and sitting on the fence.
I'd say if you turn the key on and you can hear the pump you are OK normally. If that works it could be the CPS.

Well if you going to try and pay attention.. then pay attention to previously pointing him to RCM for issues mentioned earlier.. HE HAS ALREADY INDICATED SYMPTOMS POINTING TO IT.. can you hear me now?

Prozac .. it's your friend when no one else will be..

I read this post as being about two Crossfires, his and his sons. His sons car was mentioned together with possible RCM or computer problems, his .... not once.

Let me explain myself since you seem to feel I owe it to you.

When I led him to the stereo install thread.. he fixed his stereo issue.. whether it's his car..sons car .. same car .. or neighbors car, he has indicated the ability to follow a thread.

Obviously the man is intelligent enough to read and understand so him reading and learning about the RCM problems rather than "check fuse XXX" is most advantageous for him..

Close enough explanation to paciify you I hope.. otherwise I might loose sleep tonight.

Now you realize that two cars are mentioned you come up with excuses why you answer as if there is only one. The OP may be able to follow a thread, you obviously cannot.
There are two cars hinted at, so I replied in that context.

Sleep tight.

Listen, I am not looking for a fight here just some intelligent help and you can't do that and don't like what i ask and how i am writing things or where, go to another problem and thump your chest there (please leave me alone) and your sleep habit under that rock don't concern me. Be a bigot with and attitude somewhere else, your point was made before - you don't care to be helpful with me - DON"T care, say what you want about me, I am not going to use this forum for this stupidity.

Mrmiata, said your a good source of info, sorry for bringing into to this. I was hoping you were right.
Mrmiata, again that for your help

I apologize for the stupidity that has occurred. It seems to happen every now and then. Did you look your Relay Control Module over per the links?

Mrmiata,
Yes I did, pricing $300-400 so far - will keeping looking. I will try to ask questions in the "right places".
Please, don't get involved with this. It not your fault and I wouldn't like to see having to answer it because your trying help to me.
Thanks for understanding.

This thread is fine.. We'll just call it "your thread" as far as I'm concerned.

There is no need to replace the RCM most of the time. Just get a good solder job done on the joints if they look bad. TV repair shops or Radio control Hobby shops can solder for you if needed.

If it's your choice for me not to be involved I will respect that.

But not because someone else wants to get sideways over a bad day.

I'm not looking for trouble, I read this post as being about two cars, yours and your sons. It is hard to answer a question if the car being discussed is the wrong car. I just wanted clarification.
People get upset over the slightest little thing, I do not bother to answer some people because of that reason. Others, I just yank their chain.

The only problem I have had was the Crank Positioning Sensor. (CPS) And will advise you to get a spare Bosch (only) Brand to keep with you along with the needed tools. Within a month of buying my car I had found this forum and started reading up on about everything I could find. Pulling the RCM and checking the joints was probably one of the first things I did, and they were fine.

Simply rule for knowing which one is most likely the problem:

RCM
Engine dies - everything works when key turned - nothing when turned to starter engagement - car cools off and works like nothing was wrong. This is normally the case with the RCM, you do have multiple relays on the board - fuel pump relay also.

CPS
Engine dies - everything works when key turned - starter spins but no start. Car cools off and starts up.
Chances are you will get a check engine light, But not always.
