Question Rear Spoiler

Hello!
I have been searching for a thread about removing the rear spoiler but have not found one specific to what I'm looking for. What I want to do is leave all the mechanics as is; however, simply remove the actual piece that you see come up. It's just so that I can fully plasti dip the emblem, if anyone could help id appreciate it!

Here you go. Really easy to do & only took me approx 1 hour & if I can do it, anyone can. Goodluck & if you need anymore assistants, just let us know.

I think you have to remove the whole lot to allow you to remove just the top skin as I believe this is the part you are wanting to remove.

cant you just raise the wing and tape around everything? That's the beauty of plastidip, if you overspray you just peel it off

I second this. Just bag the spoiler once its up and then mask the rest.

the first hint was "plastidip".. if you're going to go through the effort of removing everything, you're better off with real paint... if you're using plastidip in the first place, why bother making the whole process more difficult.

No hate on plastidip, I'm just saying if you're going to go the easy route, keep it easy

She sems like the kind of girl who doesn't mind doing the nitty gritty bits & she probably enjoys taking things apart & re-fixing them. Doing it the way you suggest is an "easier" way of doing it but where's the fun in that?

Hi when your spoiler is extended up. there is a plastic cover at each end, that hides the 2 torx heads you have to get to. It is quite easy just pry the caps off gently with a flat head screwdriver, and you will see the rest.
Good luck have fun
