Default on board police.

We no longer need police in cars. They are in our cars. Progressive snapshot monitors your speed, acceleration, stopping and cornering skill. The car makers are installing the same thing in new cars. BIG brother is in for the free ride.

I saw this too but they're more of a black box that loop 9-12 seconds. They're used for accident investigations not to monitor your driving habits.

I'm with Arado on this one. Waaaay too much info collected for my tastes. And, yes, it can be used against you if needed.

But, you can trust your insurance company to act only in your best interests, right?

Sure you can.

Just a tidbit for thought..

State Farm has the same option which I turned down for just that reason. Can you imagine having to drive an SRT6 sedately to lower your rate. If they can lower it based on driving habits what's to prevent them from raising the rates?
