I took my car in today because I had a lot of problems and now I want to sell my car. Should it really cost this much? I looked at the part prices online and I'm being overcharged but need local mechanic.

THERE ARE CODES IN THE COMPUTER FOR OXYGEN SENSOR, EGR CIRCUIT, AND SECONDARY AIR INJECTION PUMP THAT MAY BE RELATED TO RELAY CONTROL MODULE, BUT I AM UNABLE TO TEST FURTHER UNTIL RELAY CONTROL MODULE IS REPLACED BECAUSE THEY ARE ON THE SAME CIRCUIT.
2 WATER PUMP AND AC COMPRESSOR MAKING NOISE AND MAY CAUSE THE BELT TO COME OFF SO THEY SHOULD BE DONE TOGETHER. WATER PUMP PART 747.00 INSTALL 260.00 AC COMPRESSOR PART 1450.00 INSTALL 350.00

Wow.. thirty bucks a plug huh... not on your life.. plugs and wires.. we'll okay.. relay control module.. probably just the solder joints.. tv repair shop and 10 bucks..compressors on ebay for a few hundred....water pump.. he flying it in from Europe? Yeah.. you need a member with some spare time .. you could pay him a healthy wage and save a ton on this.

And I hope those are K&N filters at that price... 30 bucks for one pull and 8 screws.. well guess that a bargain some places.. but not in your case..

I think this mechanic must have seen the AmEx Gold Card in your wallet, and thought you were daft enough to fall for all that lot....

None of those jobs are technical or difficult, tho some are fiddley and irritating to do...

At that rate, you can afford to take 3 weeks off work, sit on your *** for 2 weeks and enjoy the sunshine, and then take your time doing the fix-its over a few days, and you will still be quids-in I recon lol

 

thank you so much for the feed back, I'm a girl so cant do myself willing to hire someone in the Deltona Daytona Beach area. I know my son said that sounds way too expensive, but he lives 1000 miles away.
