I 'daily drive' these. Low profile sole and really comfortable. Not really a bona fide racing shoe (i.e. fireproofing requirements, etc.) but I get great pedal feel and response with these on.

Were/are you a 1/4 or 1/2 miler ?
I rode Triumph and BSA as an AMA amateur back in the 60's.
Can't count the number of welding rods used to keep the bottom on the hot shoe.
