Default Should ABS light go off if no faults?

I recently had my door removed and had to reconnect the battery while it was still off to move the car. I guess since the door airbag was unplugged the airbag light is now on and stays on. I had the other door off the day before and put it back on with no problems (but never reconnected batt while off). ...Both doors are obviously now on and reconnected with staying light on.Does it have to be reset now to get it off? Or does this mean there is a problem somewhere that i need to look for because it would be off if there were no problems??

Is it ABS light or Air bag light?

Some codes must be manually reset even though the fault has been corrected. And this may be the case here. Double check all your connections is all you can do.

The code was indeed generated because you had the ignition on w/o the airbag connected. An SRS code cannot be reset using an OBD reader. A Star diagnostic tool or the equivalent is required to reset code

Keep us posted on how you solve this problem. My airbag light is on for no reason. I had a couple people check it out and both said it was my control module (a 01 code). I have not done anything to my car so there was no reason for the light to come on (I never unplugged the battery or tampered with anything electrical). I was told that it would need to be reprogrammed which can be done without the hassle of removing the module from the center console. The place that checked it out said they didn't have the tool to reprogram. Right now I am working on cutting a deal for a service contract and then I will bring it in to the dealer to fix it and inspect my car for the warranty.

If nothing was touched or changed and it just came on I would guess its your clockspring.

How could it be clockspring when the code says it is the control module?

I'm shocked to see you're still dealing with the light. Figured that would have been fixed months ago.

So if they diagnosed it and said you need a new control module then you need to get one. I thought you were searching for other common reasons why it may pop on.

I noticed it a month ago. Been busy with other projects but I am now in the process of getting an extended warranty. When I do that I will bring my car in to the dealer all in one trip. I am going to force Chrysler to fix it for free. This whole problem with so few miles is bull.
