Headliner reupholstering.
Re: Headliner reupholstering..
Alas.... I went the traditional Method... Autozone for some Permabond Headliner adhesive, and GooGone and some more Denatured Alchohol... Got as much of the gooey orange crap off of it as possible, and glued the fabric on... It turned out to be easier than I thought to glue on and smooth out... We'll see how it looks in the car..
It's raining off and on in Georgia today, and since I only got one day off.. It'll have a week and a half to cure before I can get it back in the car...
I still would like to see what Different methods people can come up with... I've thought of
Fiberglass the whole thing, then smooth it out and paint it...
filler and primer to stiffen it up, then use something like Bedliner (different colors I'm told are available)
Somebody mentioned wrapping in Carbon Fiber... I think that'd be cool, but I don't have a clue how to start
Maybe even just start completely over moulding it out of styrofoam, then Fiberglass... (might make more headroom that way)
just don't have time to try all the Ideas...

Re: Headliner reupholstering..
My car sits out side in a HUGE parking lot all day at work.. .I'm in the south, so it gets HOT and HUMID... I'm betting my "redo" won't last very long...
