Default Are there an improvements for 2005?

I'm on my way to pickup a 2005 Inferno Red Crossfire coupe next week in Atlanta and was wondering if there are any improvement/changes over the 2004 model. Anyone know? Also, I have a five hour drive bringing this baby home. Any concerns about break-in speeds? Just wanted to know in the event an RX8 shows up on the highway.

Thanks

They are identical, or at least nearly so. Some have said the 05 has tilt steering instead of the telescoping steering the 04 has. But most websites advertise the 05 as having telescoping steering as well. The 05 may be void of some of the minor issues with the first few thousand 04s, but other than that the only thing that I can think of is that the 10th digit in the VIN# is a "5" instead of a "4".

I drove mine 900 miles to get it home. I kept it around 70-75 mph most of the time. More importantly, I kept the RPMs fairly low, around 3000 or so.

Hi Sticks....congrats and I love your choice of color :-)
I would agree that having a cool 5 hour break in drive is actually a great thing. Just settle for a nice steady speed and don't try to out-drag anyone for the first 1000 miles.
I tried to stay at or below the 3000 rpm marker with Blaze until the 1000 miles were behind us. And she's running great

Btw.....where did you get the very first 2CV ever made.??

On speed channels "TEST DRIVE", they did a deal on the 05 roadster and the SRT6 - they complained that there was no tilt steering...

sticks,

i got mine at carmax too. flew from baltimore to orlando and drove it home. local dealers here were all at least $1500 more even when i showed them what i could get it for at carmax. i think one of the local dealers was hurt by my decision and decided to do some voodoo magic on my car because i got a flat tire on the way home that was a little bigger than the tire sealant would handle. fortunately i was able to get it plugged by an emergency road service co.

They have also added a navigation system for 2005 models.

You could get the navigation on the 2004 if you want as well.

Not in the U.S. If you want one in an '04 you have to get it aftermarket.

oh, in the UK it is an option, the dealer fits it before delivery so I suppose it is aftermarket.
