Smile My Owner - Clutch will engage but not shift

So I just purchased a 2004 Crossfire for a deal of the century, however the clutch will engage but not shift. A few different mechanics with opinions, most of them saying sounds like hydraulic line problems or the clutch slave.

Has anyone experienced this and can give some advice on costs etc etc.

If the clutch engages and the engine builds rpm AND accelerates (i.e., clutch is not slipping), then I agree. Do a search in this forum and you'll probably find the answer on how to check your clutch fluid and/or throw-out bearing and slave cyclinder. I have no idea about cost but it's probably why you got the deal of the week. I paid more, but mine shifts perfectly.
