Does any body else have these in side the car. Cannot find anything on the sensors(2) and have no idea what the red push button does (1)
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

It looks like ultrasonic sensors for an aftermarket alarm.

I thought that but can't find anything which looks out of place. Had an SLK320 before and engine bay looks the same no unusual boxes or unexplained holes/brackets.

Have you sent a query to Homeland Security yet? Maybe you should... But I wouldn't worry. Really.

That would explain the head shaped dent in the passenger side roof panel. and I just thought that was a special feature for taller passengers.

I didnt see the one on the right side... I would tend to agree that it is part of an alarm system and the red light is the armed signal.....

I think its for when your passenger (Wife/Girlfriend) Is p***ing you off, Push it and say adios amigos!

On a serious note, if you do find out I'd love to know

Hi,
I have exactly the same in my 04 XF. The two 'sensors' are microphones for a Parrot hands free kit. The red indicator lamp is for setting up the 'Homelink' garage door opening system. This is described in the owners manual.

Colin.
