Default For My Mercedes' illuminated Sill Plates

I was talking to Jerry up at www.formymercedes.com and he got onto the topic of designing the illuminated Sill Plates for the Xfire... He said he could sell it for much cheaper then the Mopar one... more around the $175-200 price... which to me!!! Is a good price and something I would be open to! I told him I'd run the idea past the Xfire community and see if there was a good amount of us that would pay for this sill plate being that much lower in price!

Since he would have to have some pre-ordered to design the sill for the lower price...

Would many people be up for this? I know I would!

If I didn't already have mine I would have done this too. Sounds like a great idea.

Reasonably priced illuminating sills, retractable car cover, and some real mats with the logo.
This is starting to look like a wish list. Anyone from Chrysler marketing awake out there?

I would say that I'd be interested as long as they are basically the same as far as style, color, and installation.

He was gonna design the same thing... blue led's and all... so the same thing as seen from mopar... i wouldnt think this is illegal... since its just cutting the Xfire logo out...

For $175 - $200 I think I would probably get them. I just can't see over $300. I like the look but don't see the price they want for them now as reasonable.

The more I'm talking to him it might be a little less then what I originally put as the price so it gets even better!

He sent in the request to the manufacture to see what they are going to do! now we just cross out fingers everything gets done! and we can have some sills nicely crafted for a better price!!

If they could be had with a close matching red light instead of the blue .........Blaze would love a pair :-)

Hello Derek - well the price isn't that bad I suppose...

Mfg has agreed to do Crossfire sills. I'll try to get the factory sills
from local dealer to use as a template. This process takes time, so hang in
there. Would drivers want any color other than blue?

Mustang took over a year - but this shouldn't take that long.

Jerry
What other colors all!!! I know blue... and red for sure... anything else?!
